If we had to do again, we would either choose a non E-club room at a lower rate or pay the same price for a room at another hotel with nicer restaurants and bars and closer to the harbor. But for a business traveller, this is likely a great option.

This hotel felt a little corporate and the restaurants and bars did not appeal to us. The king room was large, clean and had a nice bathroom, but as tourists we were hardly in the room. The location is a 5 min walk from the Jordan station which gets you everywhere easily. We ended up spending most of our time on the south end of Kowloon along the harbor and the north end of HK Island near central station. Hotel's neighborhood is closer to markets and malls, but I'd prefer to be closer to restaurants and nightlife (seems these are more in the areas we ended up frequenting near harbor) so that you can stick closer to the hotel in the evenings, then take transit during the day to markets and shopping.

The staff in the club and overall hotel were very polite and helpful. Pool area looked nice, but we were there in high rainy season (September), so never had the chance to enjoy it like I had hoped when booking this property.

Notes on the e-club. Check in was in the club lounge but this info was not given to us so we ended up waiting at the front desk. In previous experiences with club levels, you are placed in a room with a good view at a high level, but ours was right in front of the elevators on the 11th out of 20 floors and no view. Might have been due to booking through an outside group (hotels.com). Also, the club lounges are usually on high floors with a pleasant view, but at the Eaton it is on the lowest level without any windows. So when we spent time there for the evening snacks and drinks it felt a little claustrophobic, so we never looked forward to that time but wanted to "get our money's worth" with the 5:30-7:30pm drinks. The included lobby buffet breakfast with the e-club rate was good, but in retrospect we would have been ok going to the Starbucks across the street for light snack and coffee then have more of an appetite for lunch while out and about so that we could try more unique and local foods.

A nice hotel without obvious flaws, but e-club not worth the extra for us as a young couple who spent more time exploring outside the hotel. In non-rainy season, I would recommend a hotel with a pool such as Eaton since it is quite humid and hot.

On a side note - highly recommend the Big Red Bus tour and an afternoon in Stanley Bay as it is a quick and lovely break from the city.

Room Tip: At check in, request a higher floor and away from elevators. We were on 11th out of 20 floors next to the elevator, which was unexpected since we booked club level rate. Once in the room it's a hassle to change, so should have specified at check-in.

we stayed here for a few nights following a cruise and struck lucky. The room wasn't ready so we were accommodated in the E club with free snacks drinks and internet very well looked after. We ended up with a complementary suite which put the icing on the cake. The location close to the Ladies market the night market the the MTR underground made it a good central location on Kowloon, The E club was well used for afternoon tea and the free cocktails during happy hour. The breakfast was varied and plentiful and the staff very attentive. I can't comment on the free upgrade to the suite but we were delighted with our room. One slight concern was the use of the gym changing area as the complimentary shower/ courtesy room for guests leavng for late flights

Room Tip: the higher the better for the views

I think everything else has been said already.

Service is good, location is great, and pretty good value for money.

The only 3 other things of note for us were

- small rooms, even by HK standards, Eaton is known for many small rooms.
- Free use of computers & even some free printing,
- its possible to get to the coffee shop (main street cafe) below without leaving the comfort of your hotel.

Service was excellent. Friendly and very helpful. Food was high quality and plentiful. We had a package deal with the E Club and the highlight of our busy sightseeing day was a gin and tonic. in the club. The location of the hotel is just perfect to access the Nathan Rd. shops, the metro and the street markets. It provides a perfect place for casual strolling.
This was our 3rd visit and it has never disappointed.

We got a great price on this hotel and were quite impressed. The hotel is super closer to the Temple St. Night market, one of the temples, and not far from the Jordan metro station. There is also a 7-11 and starbucks right outside the hotel. The rooftop pool is nice. Reasonable size room for HK and good beds.

Room Tip: Heard from other travellers that rooms above the 8th floor are recommended. We were above this, so had no issues.
