Fox in a Box has been the best Escape Room that I have played by far. We were greeted by super friendly staff that assisted us in choosing what escape room best suited us. The first time my friends and I went to play, we played “Life Sentence & Bunker”. We had a blast playing and decided to come back later on in that week. My friends and I came back too play Zombie Lab & Zodiac Killer” and they were just as good…. Especially Zodiac Killer as that was my favourite. For future players, I would recommend Life Sentence as it warms you up for the other rooms. Overall my experience with Fox in a Box was successful and would strongly recommend it for others.
What a great way to start the day by being locked up in prison!
We had an absolute brilliant time at Fox-in-a-box and would totally recommend it 100%. We played the Life Sentence Room which kept us always guessing and engaged the whole time. Working as a team of 4 we solved the room with only 7 minutes remaining on the clock. (Close call haha) The staff are friendly and the facilities clean and well maintained. You'll find Fox-in-a-box on the 9th floor of the Eastcore building in Kwun Tong. It's only 350m or 4 min walk from the MTR exit A2. Totally recommend!! And will play again!!
We played Bunker as a team of three (it was our first time playing escape room), and the experience was very nice. The staff was friendly, the whole design was pretty good (there’s enough hints, don’t worry), and the atmosphere was immersive (we even had to wear clothes that fit the game). We didn’t successfully save the world (haha) but the staff did come and explain the solution for the puzzles and codes we failed to solve. It turns out that we were just being stupid for some puzzles, and dropping some essential props on the floor caused us to not able to solve one of the puzzles. But after listening to the solutions, we all figured if we were a bit more experienced, we would solve everything. The puzzles all connected together and made sense, which was a delightful surprise (I’ve heard that from friends that not all escape rooms make sense). Also, the staff suggested to help us take pictures as souvenirs, it was great service since he was the one who proposed the idea and we didn’t even think of it.
Overall, the game was good. We would definitely go another time (we’d probably go for Life Sentence).
Ps: they have a leadership board where you can see the best time for every game
I was worried about a lot of jumpscares, and honestly I’m glad the escape room is the way it is. Had a great time with my friends even though we only completed halfway 👍
I played bunker with my husband, it takes longer time for 2 pax to solve the puzzles, but we nailed it eventually :-)
Amazing staff and game! Will try the other rooms next time.
As an escape room enthusiast, I played a lot of escape rooms in HK. Sadly to say that most of the rooms' qualities are subpar because you are either being thrown into a tiny room with lots of password locks and most of the time there lack of an engaging storyline to tie all the puzzles together and provide an immersive experience. Then I found Fox in the Box, boy oh boy am I glad. I played all four rooms with a team of three and gotta say this is one of the better escape rooms out here in HK. Not only are the owners/staff super friendly, but also, and more importantly, the quality of the puzzle design, mechanics, and overall design of the room layout are top-notch! Looking forward to revisiting again when they roll out new themes.
P.S. My personal favorite is Zodiac Killer Room!
