Another day in Hong Kong and more torrential rain but we only let it slightly dampen our spirits and clothes .. we donned out ocean park waterproof ponchos and ventured in to these stunning gardens , very beautiful very clean and ofcourse for a tight wallet like me free.. I've been to Asia many times and the temples all start to blur after a while but the wooden temple at the end of the gardens is stunning truly amazing feat .. there's a few museums to go in very small but worth a nosey to see different artifacts and the like we had a good day despite the awful weather..

It is the garden of the monastery. For those who are interested in gardens especially Tang Dynasty garden; which influences Japan Heian period garden, should not miss this little garden in a concrete jungle. Easily accessible by MTR. They have a vegetarian restaurant and a teahouse.

This place is a little piece of heaven in a busy city! It's quiet and tranquil and you easily forget the hustle and bustle around HK. There is a lovely little café in the grounds which is a welcome resting spot. There is also a restaurant but we didn't eat in there during our visit. The gardens are easy to find from the metro - get off at Diamond Hill and follow the signs. Once you're done, you can complete your trip with a bit of shopping in the shopping centre which is next to the gardens - we stopped for a Starbucks!

This is a must see during your visit to Hong Kong. They've got a tea room and restaurant too, so plan to stay and have something delicious.

The garden is part of a Buddhist temple. It keeps itself Tang Dynasty style so well and so elegant that you can feel tranquil once entering the gate. Better yet, there is a top-notched vegetarian restaurant inside. Highly recommended.
