Poor Globalist and Guest of Honor recognition

Overall the staff at the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui seemed unaware of the benefits that should be afforded Guests of Honor. Although upgraded rooms were provided for the majority of the four rooms that I booked as Guests of Honor, there was significant resistance when I informed the staff that my guests should be provided a standard suite upgrade, if available.

In addition, I was shocked at the lack of effort by the staff or, rather, unwillingness to accommodate us as we attempted to eat together on the first evening of our stay. We checked in late after a long flight and the Regency Lounge just closed and no nearby places were offering dine-in opportunities. As we booked five rooms for 15 guests, including elderly and young, I was hoping that the Hyatt Regency would be able to offer some shared space that we could use to gather and eat together. Instead, we were promised a small, outlying space by one staff member only to have it rejected by another moments later. We ended up jamming all fifteen guests into one of our cramped rooms and hurriedly woofed down our food while whispering as we tried in vain not to disturb the adjacent room's guests.

I bumped the property rating up one star based on good location and ease of access from public transportation. But, otherwise, the service or lack thereof from this Hyatt property was shocking, especially in light of my other Hyatt Globalist stays on this trip in Bangkok and Koh Samui, Thailand.

Location was fantastic , right on top of MTR. Lots of nice restaurant within walking distance. Excellence service by staff

Excellent service and attention to my needs. I was coming on a night flight and also after the loss of a parent. I was given an early check in and also a late check out the next day.

The hotel is very good actually, it’s in very good condition, and location is excellent in Kowloon Tsim Tsai Sui area, MTR is below as well as K11 mall Room condition was clean and everything works well. Bathroom is spacious and water pressure was excellent. The view is also good since we stayed at Victoria harbour view room. The only thing needs improvement is quality of the bed, as it’s too soft. It would be much better if the bed is thicker and firmer, then it clearly deserve 5 stars rating. However, it’s still highly recommended hotel in TST area, Kowloon.

Room tip: Get Victoria harbour view room if possible

Hyatt Regency TST is great! It's located inside K11 Mall which connects to MTR underground directly. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I only met with one person working at the lounge that seemed annoyed at us not knowing how to operate the espresso machine. The rest of the stay has been awesome.
