We were recommended to come here and were pleased we did. The menu is quite basic, not too many to choose from but everyone who comes here, all here for their wonton or fish ball noodle soup. We did just that but also ordered blanched vegetables with oyster sauce. It is a quick eat and run place, may have to queue up outside but everyone are there just to have a quick noodle soup. The homemade fish balls are huge and the noodles and soup are delicious.

I have read lots of review and was impressed with the long queue each time I walk pass this restaurant. As someone not from Hong Kong, I tend to always eat opposite at Mak's Noodle.

Here is the comparison. Tsim Chai Kee Noodle cost HK$ 30.00 per bowl compared to Mak's Noodle at HK$ 40.00 per bowl. As HK$ 30, it is by far a larger portion with equally large wonton (these are prawn with pork). Unfortunately their noodle does not impress compared with Mak's Noodle. I guess it is popular because it is cheaper and larger in portion and it ends there.

This restaurant is located in a very busy street and you don't mind sharing the table with others. The menu is in English/Chinese and has several choices to pick from like beef, shrimp dumpling or fish balls with your noodle soup. The price is very economical at HK 39.00 ($4.99 USD). The lunch was very filling and there are " no napkins " given. There is nothing to drink, so bring your own beverage and get ready for their busy lunch hour. Don't worry as people are served quickly and depart as fast when finish eating. Cash only!

One of a must check list when we are in Hong Kong. This noodle shop has smooth and soft noodle with unique soup taste, especially when we add a few drop of shop vinegar. One is not enough for me.

we only ordered 1 item. wanton noodles. it arrived in less than 5 minutes. the noodles were tasty and fresh. the dumplings were tasty. your only problem is the queue, but if you're alone you have a good chance of beating the line because they allow you to fill up empty seats even if the table is occupied by an earlier group of diners.
