We recently stayed for one week, in a so called club room.
I carefully read the reviews which mostly were " excellent ". What a disappointment !
The hotel was very busy, no doubt due to its very good location for business. There appeared to be a good percentage of Chinese business people staying at the hotel.
The location is the hotel's best feature.
Unlike most hotels we have stayed at in China, the staff were not that friendly, and there English was quite poor.. To us, it was obvious the staff were very badly trained, they did not seem to have a high degree of care... take it or leave it attitude !
We were disappointed very much with the beget breakfast, very basic at best . The variety and quality of the foods and juices only ordinary. Most mornings, you had to chase up cutlery for your table and serviettes.. If a fresh fruit selection was out, such as watermelon, no one bothered to replenish. The espresso coffee machine ran out of coffee or milk every morning, more than once each morning, necessitating finding someone to fix the thing. Meanwhile, a long queue, meaning a 10-15 minute wait for your coffee.! We were amused that the staff just stood in their positions, like " guards ", not moving unless necessary.. The collection of dirty dishes from a vacant table almost non existent.
The curtains were old and " scattered ". We could not believe what we saw... where the morning sun shone in, they had what appeared to be large sheets pinned up, to stop the bright sun, " higgedly piggedly ". The appearance of an old boarding house., we shook our heads in disbelief !
Our room was ok, clean and comfortable, not overly large, but no complaints.
However, the bathroom was not up to standard, small.. The sink basin area tucked away behind the door, tiny. No room to put all of your necessities. The shower is the old type within the high bathtub. Thus you need to grab hold of a rail and the door to climb over the bath. Quite risky after your shower when wet and slippery. Not good for older people, dangerous !
We were quite disappointed in this establishment. We have regularly travelled worldwide, particularly in China, for decades, and we know hotels. Rate three star to be fair, and will not return here.

The hotel has a good location ( easy to get taxi and near to the Center of BJ ) . Their breakfast of buffet has lot of variety and their massage service is good.
Their massage staff Lili 219 has a good skill on massage. Highly recommended to stay here when u go to BJ.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel in mid September 2018. As the other guests write, the location is very convenient. We had dinner at the Bloo Restaurant one night. Twice we were told that what we wanted was not available. That was not problematic, but my husband’s dish came out 20 minutes before mine. He was all done before I even got my dish. The restaurant wait staff’s English was almost non existent, so I went to the front desk to inform somebody of the meal. Michelle Zhang, manager at the front desk, handled the situation professionally and gave us a discount off the meal. She is a credit to the hotel.
Bad experience upon arrival with no dedicated room although we had booked in advance from home. They told us, initially, that it was our problem. My husband lost his cool as we'd flown from Yicheng and it was getting late. Not to mention our taxi from the airport was driving so fast and erratic we were haggard and weary. We had booked a tour to the Great Wall the next day from this location. Eventually they said they would put us up next door at the Regency. It was awesome! But we had to move back to the park plaza the next night which was clean and midrange.

Hence, we upgrade you to the luxury 5-Star Regent hotel to ensure you had a great accommodation first and the Regent is in the same building as we are. Moreover, to express our sincere apology, we offered you with complimentary daily breakfast and full club benefits on the next day.
