“veggie gem in the heart of beijing”
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Me and a friend here went here during a trip to Beijing because, as a vegetarian it is extremely difficult to find meat free food in China. The service was excellent and Jackie, our waitor was lovely and chatty with us. The whole feel to the restaurant was really fancy and nice - there was someone playing a harp in the middle of the room and we ordered off iPads and although it was expensive for China (around 300 yuan each) considering the luxury that we ate in, the quality of the food and the service we were both happy to pay it!

“Good location for landmarks and subway”
Reviewed 2 weeks ago via mobile

Very old, basic accomodation- great location for landmarks and convenience to subway. Staff have very little english and their service is quite poor. Breakfast was hit & miss. If on a limited budget its ok for a very short stay while travelling in Beijing.

“Out of this world magical ”
Reviewed 3 weeks ago via mobile

Wow, what an absolute dream. From the moment I stepped into the premises, my breathe was taken away. I was dining alone and was made to feel so comfortable. I had the set menu. Each dish was a work of art and described in detail to me by my fabulous waiter Jackie. Each dish had its Own, unique depth of flavour and each more incredible than he next. The staff also went out of their way to ensure I got home safely, it was raining and I wasn't able to get a cab so they helped me to take the Chinese version of Uber. I Couldn't recommend this place more.

Jackie also told me that this place is a temple where students come to do training.

I can't wait to come back again.

“Vegetarian Delight”
Reviewed 7 June 2017 via mobile

We read about this vegetarian place in The Beijinger magazine and went. We were definitely pleasantly surprised! It is an upscale vegetarian restaurant with prices to match, but for us it was worth it. We had a 5 course menu (599 yuan) with a lovely Portuguese Vinho Verde (289 yuan). The staff let us taste the wine, also with the second bottle. Dinner was very tasteful, different and nice. For example sweet & sour soup with very fine soya strings, crispy sticky ginger soya? pieces in a parmesan cheese basket, eggplant made looked like it was a piece of meat (way, way more tasteful than meat though!!!) So if you want to go for a night out this is the place! The restaurant looks amazing by the way :-)

“Very good vegan, but more interesting start than finish of the meal”
Reviewed 7 June 2017

Great place, good service and some fantastic began courses - but some really boring ones as well. We had the lage set menu. The appetizers, the soup and the first of the nutritious dishes were worth the trip. Suddenly it became a bit boring. The mushrooms were the main ingredients in a lot of the courses, so we felt that we had tasted it before in the meal. The chardonnay wine from China was very good. At 9 p.m. they turned of the light in our room (the rest of the room were still with som light) and the only light left were the candle lights. We had to use our phones to be able to see the courses. Strange. And when the courses became less tasty and the dessert only had one highlight, the mango pudding, we were a bit disappointed of the experience.
