Had a fantastic day out at the Great Wall, was not overcrowded and was able to climb a good section of the wall, make sure you are ready for some exercise and very steep steps

This was my third visit to Mutianyu and I continue to highly recommend not just seeing the wall but seeing it here. It's a great experience overall. The visitor center is new since my last visit. It's pretty nice.

It's great to take the bus up the hill, walk a bit, then catch the gondola to the wall. The wall itself is, of course, amazing. How could it not be? They then give you the option to take a bobsled down from the wall. It is so fun (especially if those in front of you don't stop to take pictures).

We took a private taxi from Beijing for our trip to Great Wall with Delight Car. Great service and well worth the extra cost. The Mutianyu section was recommended, we opted for the cable car ride up and walked down, highly recommend as took the stress out of climbing the steps on a hot day. What a fab day and not to be missed if heading to Beijing.

Left my hotel at 6:30am and got to Mutianyu around 8:30am. Best time as I had the wall all to myself.

Big Tip: Take the cable car up to Tower 14 and then walk to Tower 23. Then walk back down to Tower 6 and then take the toboggan down to the shops.

It better to book a tour for this place. You could save your energy to hike up the 24 tower to get the medal. Take the cable car up & hike up to tower 24. It will take around 2 hours for the round trip. Take ur time and enjoy the wonder of the great wall...
