While I can't complain about the business facilities for conferences and meetings, the rooms themselves are of poor quality. The shower head is not properly fixed, spraying water everywhere apart from where it should be. We stayed there in October and while the temperature outside was 8-10 degrees C, there was no option to switch on heating in the room - though if you do find this temperature too hot, you can opt to switch the A/C on which will work perfectly. Beds are hard - relatively normal for China. Apparently this hotel is highly rated by Chinese locals... I'm guessing they've never stayed in a western hotel. Breakfast I would personally avoid - food was cold and not much selection. Coffee is instant and tasteless. Location is also far from the city centre which makes visiting sights difficult - even though I was there on business, having finished the conference at 5pm and considering it takes nearly an hour to get to Tiannmen Sq/Forbidden City, you start considering, "Is it worth it?" But, there is nothing in the area itself so it's needed. There are so many better hotels in and around Beijing itself for around the same price and I would opt for them in the future.
