This hotel is on the medical campus of Beijing University. You are unlikely to consider staying here for any reason other than the fact that you are visiting the area on business or for a conference, because there are no sights nearby. It's not a good hotel for a tourist because of its location. But if you are visiting this part of Beijing on business, the absence of wifi in the room will be a problem, unless you have an old-fashioned laptop which you can use with a cable. Most people in the hotel seemed not to have this when I was staying there, meaning that the mosquito-ridden lobby was filled with guests going online in the one part of the hotel where there was wifi. However, even there, it was slow and often crashed. The room I had was large, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was Chinese-style (forget about cereal or milk) but extensive and generous. The prices is cheap, but... you can do better than this without spending a lot more.

I agree with the general sentiment of the reviews: its a good location for the medical school & hospital, and is a 2.5 mile walk/run to the Water Cube & Birds Nest of the Olympic Park, but otherwise it is not a good location for tourism - there are no bars in the area, although it is pretty easy to get a taxi.
The rooms are functional: a small desk, internet (very slow), fridge, and hairdryer. en suite shower room. The rooms are clean, and serviced daily, although this is definitely a '2 star hotel' standard. There is no in-room coffee/tea, there is a kettle to boil water (bottled water available at 10yuan a litre (you can buy bottles at the corner store for much cheaper).
Few of the hotel staff speak much English at all, - I found one a check out who knew "credit card", although the language barrier was not an inconvenience otherwise. Breakfast is a buffet service, mainly chinese food, although with fried rice, sausage of some variety and vegetables served as 'western food'.
Contrary to previous comments I was able to get a taxi to come to the door, although this had to be negotiated with the driver by a friend who spoke chinese and could explain exactly how to find it - the hotel is off the main street behind security barriers - it's pretty easy to walk 100yrds to the street and hail a cab, if you don't have heavy bags.

Other than the convenience of inside the medical science campus of Peking University, this motel is not worth staying! The room is small and dim. The "mattress" is like a box spring with no cushion. My wife and I had terrible back pain sleeping on it over-night. When complaining about it, they only offer an extra blanket to put over the bed. The bathroom has half of the sliding door missing. Even if you are extra careful of not letting water splashing out of the shower, water leaks out of the shower from underneath the sliding door because poor sealing of the frame of the sliding door. Moreover, the room has the smell of sewage all the time, probably because of improper installation of the drain pipes. Last but not the least, people smoke inside the elevator and other non-smoking areas of the motel I would not recommend anyone staying in this motel even for just one night. There is a much better hotel with cheaper price just outside the west gate of the campus.

Room tip: Find a hotel right outside the medical campus of Peking University.

If you are working at Peking University Medical Science Campus or the Third Hospital, the location of this hotel just cannot be beat. It is also very secure with the campus chained up overnight (however, this can pose a problem with a very early or late arrival to the hotel with luggage). Usually, you would need to walk to the main campus gate to get a taxi. The facilities themselves are pretty average. Everything is clean, the a/c works, etc. Think somewhat nicer dorm room. There is a hairdryer and a refrigerator. The water and packaged washcloth kit are not complimentary. The bed is very hard as are most Chinese hotel beds. There is an Ethernet connection in the room, but no wireless. There is wireless in the hotel lobby and breakfast room. The breakfast is Chinese with lots of steamed dough, soup, rice, noodles, and some boiled eggs. There is toast and some small pastries as well as tea and coffee. The staff are pleasant, but speak very little English. There was a problem with my bill and I eventually had to ask one of my Chinese colleagues to assist as neither I nor the staff could understand each other. Overall, it was very adequate for my needs, but I wouldn't choose to stay there if I didn't have business to conduct on campus.

I stayed here 2 nights with my husband who had a conference at a nearby university. The room was extremely disappointing. The lobby looks nice, but as many Chinese hotels, the lobby looks nice and do not mirror the room, necessarily. On arrival they were still cleaning the room. The room was very small with an extremely stained carpet. The bathroom was super tiny and extremely moldy. The wooden details were rotten and even broken at some places, which made me think off roaches. However, we did not see one single bug during our stay. The air con worked all fine.

A few persons among the staff spoke some few words in English. Their service attitude was OK, not bad, but not good either. It was my impression they were not willing to serve foreigners.

We had breakfast for 30 yuan one morning at the hotel: plenty of food, but the quality was not good enough for the price. There are many nearby eateries you can visit instead.

The hotel is situated in the north west part of Beijing, so do not stay here for sightseeing. It is close to the Summer Palace, though. It takes about one hour to go to central Beijing by cab, for about 100 yuan. There is a nearby metro station that you can use, just 400 meters south of the hotel.

All in all, I can not recommend this hotel: It was scruffy and the room was not nice at all. The bed was rock hard, but the bed linen clean and fresh.

Also, realize that you get what you pay for: One night for 2 persons was about 150 yuan...
