All in all considering the location of the hotel, it is ok minus.
I visited during the Ramadan (an islamic holiday), so the noise from the Mosque during the night was awful. The bed mattress is so stiff - it caused me really bad back pains. There are only warm water in the shower, not hot. The hotel is not maintained properly (elevator a little scary). There is WIFI in every floor, and the quality of the connectivity depends on the room's location. Mine was poor, but my associate had a better location with quite good connection.
But it is clean, the staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is descent considering other hotels.

Room Tip: Try to avoid regular rooms, they are so small, and mattress is horrible.

Very good location for hotel in centre of Mombasa where no decent place exists except out of town. The place is still well kept for many years but the Quality of food has been going down. I fell ill with the food although I am fairly immune due to regular travel. The excellent Indian food is gone and now they serve things which barely look and taste Indian. If place is important then go for it. If food is important then look elsewhere.

This is my fifth visit to the Royal Court Hotel since 2006 and always an improvement is noticed. An excellent value for money with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay in Mombasa. The staff is courteous/well behaved and always at your service.Rooms are well furnished and the breakfast is very GOOD.The rooftop bar is a nice place to relax in the evening with couple of chilled beers and continental food that too at an affordable price..

Excellent service at a very conveniently located hotel in town. Very good accommodation for the price. Rooms are well furnished and maintained. This was my second time stay at this hotel. Breakfast is very good too. Those looking for a hotel in the middle of the city this is a right choice, especially for short business trip. stays.

A solid value for money option in the heart of the CBD which means that for short stays you can escape the press and chaos of Mombasa's peak hour traffic. Well within ambling distance of many of the key cultural and historical sites including Fort Jesus, old Mombasa city, the port, spice and vegetable markets. Service was friendly and efficient!!
