I booked this hotel as a solo traveler who was in Palau to dive so I only need to please myself.

If you want a quiet, clean room with a hot shower after diving at the days end close to Koror this is ideal. The staff were really friendly and having a supermarket downstairs was a bonus, give the staff at reception the Powerball tickets you get when shopping there. You can walk to the main area of Koror for a meal (beware when it rains it really rains) and as most of the shops are open till late you can browse at your leisure for souvenirs.

There are no amenities here but after diving all day who needs a pool, you have already seen great scenery and a bar is not far away in Koror.

Fellow solo divers staying in other hotels said they felt a bit isolated as the hotels had few guests and you had to get a taxi to get to Koror for a bit of night life.

Location is not an issue when diving as the dive shop will pick you up.

On the last day they have a room that you can shower in for $10 which was great to freshen up before the flight.

Palau is not Asia, hotels are not cheap so compare this one to other Palau hotels only and you will see its value.

For the price of $124 per night, i would have at least expected free Wi-Fi or possibly a pool, nope, nothing, no water in the fridge when i arrived at 2am after a long few flights.
The room was nice and clean, bed comfortable, decent size with a fair amount of TV channels, good but a little noisy a/c but that was it.
Some of the staff were very helpful and always cheerful, but some just didn't understand what was required.
I asked if i could extend my check out time to 6pm, they wanted $62 for an extra 6 hrs, very expensive i thought, if the hotel was busy, then fine, but it was pretty empty.
I had booked through Expedia, when i checked out i still and to pay extra for the taxes at 12%, it is not just the hotels that rip you off, i feel that it is the Government of Palau ripping all the tourists off, i won't be back due to this, pity though as the diving was awesome.....
It seems the norm that hotels are every expensive in Koror, maybe they just get away with it, but I'm sure it will come back to bite them....Pity....

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our kayaking trip (after staying at West Plaza Malakal at the beginning) and wished we had booked her instead. Not having a car in Koror, it was much more convenient to stay at Desekel due to its proximity to shops and eateries.

The room was carpeted too which was nice and was ~$120USD per night which is pretty good by Koror standards. Air con worked, although was a bit loud and the shower was really good.

Sam's Tours picked me up in the morning and dropped us off in the evening so proximity to the dive center isn't a concern. I don't look for 5 star amenities in every place I stay but would definitely stay here again.

If you're coming to Palau to dive and might be diving with FishNFins, this hotel is a great location to stay at. This is our 6th stay here, and we enjoy the quiet rooms, the comfortable beds and the great location: close to many of the restaurants in town and a short walk to FishNFins. There's even a market on the first floor for the quick items you may want.
We always stay in a corner room on the top floor, finding that there is plenty of room to spread out. Don't expect luxury, great views or a pool, but think of this hotel as a simple yet comfortable home away from home.
Note three things: as with other hotels in Palau, the rooms may be smoking or not. Also, the ice machine is broken but they have ice in bags available. If you are unable to climb stairs, don't stay here: there is at least one flight up to the lobby (although bags fit in a small elevator just for luggage).
The women who work here are friendly, eager to assist and usually have good recommendations about places to eat in town!

Room tip: choose a corner room on the third (top) floor -- ask when making the reservation.

I stayed here for a week on a business trip recently and found this hotel good in terms of cost and location. The staff are really nice and they try their best to facilitate you for whatever the questions or concerns you have. I liked Ms. Irene....good job. The rooms are okay expect that couple of rooms are air conditioned and controlled centrally, that does not allow you to control when you need. You may also feel beds are shaking when you turn around and water flush is not strong for shower. However, in general, I found it is good as compare to what you pay (around $90/day), you get all what you need. 24 hours coffee available, internet $10 for 4 hours, restaurants are closer to this hotel, right in front and a good Japanese restaurant left to the hotel. You can also order shuttle @ $10/person/trip.

Thank you all for treating me well and providing good support.
