If you're coming to Palau to dive and might be diving with FishNFins, this hotel is a great location to stay at. This is our 6th stay here, and we enjoy the quiet rooms, the comfortable beds and the great location: close to many of the restaurants in town and a short walk to FishNFins. There's even a market on the first floor for the quick items you may want.
We always stay in a corner room on the top floor, finding that there is plenty of room to spread out. Don't expect luxury, great views or a pool, but think of this hotel as a simple yet comfortable home away from home.
Note three things: as with other hotels in Palau, the rooms may be smoking or not. Also, the ice machine is broken but they have ice in bags available. If you are unable to climb stairs, don't stay here: there is at least one flight up to the lobby (although bags fit in a small elevator just for luggage).
The women who work here are friendly, eager to assist and usually have good recommendations about places to eat in town!

Room tip: choose a corner room on the third (top) floor -- ask when making the reservation.

I stayed here for a week on a business trip recently and found this hotel good in terms of cost and location. The staff are really nice and they try their best to facilitate you for whatever the questions or concerns you have. I liked Ms. Irene....good job. The rooms are okay expect that couple of rooms are air conditioned and controlled centrally, that does not allow you to control when you need. You may also feel beds are shaking when you turn around and water flush is not strong for shower. However, in general, I found it is good as compare to what you pay (around $90/day), you get all what you need. 24 hours coffee available, internet $10 for 4 hours, restaurants are closer to this hotel, right in front and a good Japanese restaurant left to the hotel. You can also order shuttle @ $10/person/trip.

Thank you all for treating me well and providing good support.

Went to palau for 7days and since me and bf arrived Palau very late so we tried to stay in cheaper hotel on the first night and then we changed to Palau pacific hotel for rest of the nights .
The receptionist at west plaza was very nice and friendly . However she had arranged a room for us and it was full of FRIED CHICKEN smell !!! Bf was totally couldnt accept it and so he had ask for another room. She changed a bigger room for us , with a sitting room but it's no windows there and I don't know why theres only hv very dimmed light so we barely see anything ( we had used our cellphone to illuminate the area ) it was sooo weird !!!

I can say is it's good that we only spend one night there ......

I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2008. If you are on a budget and are just going to Palau to dive, this is not a bad choice since you will be spending most of your time out of the hotel anyway. Very minimal in terms of amenities but clean enough and convenient to the shopping center, restaurants and dive shops.

Overall
I guess I could stay here again but I would request a better room next time.

Positives
- Convenient location. Just off the main road with a supermarket below the hotel.
-Clean sheets and bathroom.

Negatives
-My room (3202) had a strange smell and there was another strong smell from a nearby restaurant when the sliding door to the balcony was open. (One other room I saw was nicer and did not smell).
-Hot water ran out quickly every day.
-Air Conditioner was loud.

Other
Compared to the West Plaza Downtown, this hotel seemed to be better located and a little quieter and cleaner.

Friendly staff, clean room and bathroom, free coffee in lobby, comfortable beds, working airconditioner. I like that there was a supermarket below the hotel (motel). Wlaking distance to other stores, restaurants, schools, etc. Very convenient & safe.

Phone: [--] for reservations.
