I got the nod for Toledo when we first thought about having a tour organised for us...but subsequently went solo. I looked at other options but parking was easy here and we were arriving in the small hours so seemed a safe bet.

We stayed two nights and everyone was fall over themselves friendly and helpful. We were an hour into our trip into a strange country, tired as hell and they did everything to make us feel like we were their most important guests...at 2.30am!

Breakfast buffet was good...dinner buffet was perfectly tasty, I’m just not keen on buffets and the lighting was too bright.

Our only gripe was despite the upgrade to a lovely big suite looking toward King Abdullah Mosque, was the air con seemed to pump cigarette smoke from other rooms to ours. Obviously smoking is a thing here, and it was a shame as it’s the only thing that marred an otherwise very comfy stay.

Dear friend, thank you for your remarks which I will share with my colleagues, especially the "fall over themselves" comment :))). It seems that we achieved our goal of meeting your expectations Regarding the cigarette smell, the A/C are individually controlled and isolated between rooms, so it is quite strange. I have forwarded your comment to maintenance and housekeeping to try to figure out where the smell was coming from. Once again, thank you for your comments and look forward to seeing you again soon.

This hotel is located just on the perimeter of town. It's an easy taxi ride into the centre. Our stay was comfortable and relaxed. We had breakfast only, but it was plentiful with a good variety to choose from. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We recommend this hotel if you are staying in Amman.

Spent three nights in the Toledo Hotel in Amman. Room wasn't huge, but clean, a/c worked fine, bathroom is good.
The food in the hotel was good, the staff are friendly and helpful. The Pool and gym are basic enough, but perfectly usable.
The hotel is just about walking distance to/from the old centre, but if you don't fancy walking up that hill, the taxi should cost only 2 or 3 JDs.

This hotel is difficult to rate. It’s somewhere between three and four stars. It’s best days are behind it but there is absolutely nothing wrong with this establishment.

The rooms are spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly, helpful and speak impeccable English, which given I cannot speak the local language is a huge bonus. In fact, everyone in Jordan appears to speak English.

We stayed in a family room - three single beds and a good size bathroom. A very minor distraction was the light that didn’t work, the mini bar that wasn’t replenished, and the tea/coffee bags that weren’t replaced. Minor things that are a distraction, nothing more.

Women travels may want to check if the woman’s pool is open. Only the men’s pool was open when we visited, which was disappointing for certain members of our travelling party.

The hotel is located a good 15 minute walk (downhill) into the old part of town, or a short 10 minute taxi ride to The Citadel. The King Abdullah Mosque is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is quiet, the WiFi is free and a good speed, and the breakfast a very generous buffet spread. Just eat before the tour groups arrive on mass!

I would happily stay at this hotel if I was again in Amman.
