This was one of my favorite places. Inspirational and beautiful!! The history is remarkable. Loved riding a camel here, but hated his knees were sore. Unbelievable view of the Old City!

On the top of Mount Olive you can experience the emotions that Jesus had when he came from the Jordan Valley to Pilgerhaus to the city of god. He looked to the West and saw the Temple on Moriah Mount (now called Temple Mount). Downhill there was Gethsemane to press the Olives. He cried about the destruction of the Holy City to come and the Franciscans build later the Chapel Dominus Flevit. You can walk downhill and also see the graves of Jews buried on the Mount since ancient times.

Area completely too small for all the traffic and tourists. Offer nice view of the city. Might need to walk quite a distance.

Start at the top and walk down this historic mountain, bible in hand.
It'll change the way you read the text. And catch best possible views of the Temple Mount on the way.

The Mount of Olives or Jabal al Tur is located east of the city of Jerusalem. Previously on this hill was once the olive groves. From this hill also I can see the beautiful view of Jerusalem with rocky ground and house house that looks like sticking to the rock hill.
This hill is a sacred place for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. Visiting this hill at the same time reminiscent of the story where Jesus taught the prayer of Our Father, weeping over the destruction of Jerusalem, and ascending to Heaven. . Moreover, in the foothills of Olives there is also the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before the cross. In this garden also Judas Iscariot betray Jesus to get 30 pieces of silver coin. What a valuable experience for me to visit this place
