Lovely area of Jerusalem and the pint where we entered on a couple of occasions. Plenty of sites, shopping, money exchange and tourist offices near this gate.

Any time again.... I haven't been in Jerusalem for 38 years, but am safely impressed that I had been before

The Jaffa Gate is one of the 7 gateways to the old city of Jerusalem. The heavy cast iron doors are worth seeing which leads to an L shaped entrance. It is also known as the Hebron Gate.

Jaffa Gate is a central meeting point in Jerusalem Old Town, also a good starting point for Old Town visit. Remember to visit Tower of David Museum, which is in front of the gate.

Jaffa Gate is one of the main access points to/from the walled portion of modern Jerusalem.

The ancient gate once repelled invaders of every religion and creed since time immemorial. It has also opened and welcomed some of the greatest figures in history.

There’s not much to see here aside from a stone gate but it’s interesting to imagine all the amazing historical events that have occurred since it was erected.
