Our tour group visited this attraction a couple of days before the back-to-back Remembrance Day and 70th Anniversary Day, so an unusually large crowd was there, and heavily armed security was everywhere. Despite the huge crowds it was still an amazing visit to ancient history.

Again, understanding something of the history of the destruction of the Jewish Temples through history and the remaining Wall gives it its relevance.

This was my 3rd visit to the Western Wall & each time is an inspiration. This visit many families were there to celebrate Bar Mizveh times, so quite crowded, but joyful! In Sept., many school children there on field trips as at King David Tomb. Such a sight to see these children learning & practicing their faith, respectfully. Always it meant so much to me to pray there & leave names of special requests back home. It seems a genuine touch w/ancient history & eternity

I looked forward to being at the wall everyday of my trip! This was so important to me. I wrapped my head and carried over 300 names written on paper to be bless by God. I will never ber the same. I highly recommend this experience.

This is one of the many places in Jerusalem's old town where you will feel a mixture of excitement, awe, spirituality and tension. Bring a pen and a small note so you can write a prayer.
