This place would be stunning if they would practice some management. There are resorts and ger camps everywhere. Looks less like a national park and more like a town. It was hard to find a quiet, unpopulated place.

fantastic scenery and from all accounts where the locals like to stay as it is close to the capital but spectacular. We went horse riding but there is also hiking and a host of other attrations we did not have time to savor.

We’ve lived in Mongolia almost 20 years. This is where we always take guests who are staying less than a week. It’s an hour or so drive from UB, National Park in a beautiful river valley. There are lots of places to eat or spend a few nights if you want. You can ride horses or go for a hike.

I was lucky enough to experience the national park both in winter when it was covered in snow and during the thaw of spring time.

The views are just breathtaking and unlike anything I have seen before, they are movie set perfection with very typical scenes of wild horses and nomadic families... and goats :

A stunning feeling being in most unspoiled nature.. the energy there is just magical.

Great place to visit for a day trip from UB. You can also visit the turtle rocks which are in the park.
