The area is interesting with cool graffiti. However, there are people trying to sell you drugs and loud drunk expats. Rooms are not clean, staff doesn't seem to care, and definitely doesn't feel safe to leave your belongings there. I recommend srating somewhere else but visiting this neighborhood during the day.

If you want a local experience this is the place, food is good and the owners are very friendly. It’s close to tourist spots, like the night market, Wat Phnom, and river front. Great time and memories!

The whole place just has a very odd vibe about it, the staff just hang around downstairs and hound you when you walk through for food or tuk tuk rides (the tuk tuk guy is really sleazy and stood inside our room with the door shut asking us repeatedly what we were doing tomorrow after a 9 hr bus!! Sales advice: Leave people alone! Also saw him plying a young solo Canadian girl with beer one night whilst doing the hard sell!)

Other guests too are a bit odd, creepy Indian guys, dodgy ex-pats... one of which told the whole place he s**t himself whilst we're trying to eat the bland and underdone breakfast! People smoking weed everyday despite loads of signs all over the place about drugs, which itself is a worry. We could smell it from inside our room! Also very noisy at night, shouting and banging at all hours. Someone arguing about money with a woman so god knows what that was about but we can only imagine!

Asked for a towel and after a 10 minute conversation between themselves as I awkwardly stood there they gave me one off a chair at reception the woman had been sat on after she looked it over to see if it was"clean", then we had to wait another 10 mins whilst they got some toilet roll!! The room clearly had never seen a deep clean either and was pretty grimy and dingy.

The area is pretty local which itself isn't too bad and is an interesting place. But with people constantly offering you drugs it does make it seem a bit dodgy and not somewhere you would want to walk alone at night.
