We had been in Vietnam for nearly two weeks eating almost exclusively Vietnamese food, so we thought Indian would be good for a change.

Six of us shared butter chicken, mutton curry, vegetable biryani, garlic naan, laccha parantha, and rice.

The curries were excellent - well balanced spices and with the mutton curry, tender meat instead of the gristle so often served in this dish. We mopped up the last remaining sauces with our naan and parantha.

For the six of us the bill was a modest VND 316,000.

We wanted to visit Baba's Kitchen and found it closed. So walked to Taj Mahal, inside a small lane. It's a very tiny restaurant serving decent Indian food. The rotis were good, however the portion of the gravies were too small.
Service was okay. Worth visiting if you have no other option to go to.

We chanced upon the Taj Mahal on Backpackers street , while looking for lunch on the day we arrived. Being vegetarians, we found a good variety here, simple food- phulkas ( large and soft) , dal, aloo jeera and raita - Sophia is very warm, friendly and ensures service is quick. As the food is cooked fresh it takes 15-20 mins. No frills, but great taste and excellent value for money!

Located in Bui Vien Street , the most crowded night life area. Its not a Big Spacious Restaurant . But can have almost all the north Indian Dishes. Their Tea and the Shawarma selling at the entrance are really tasty .

After 15 minutes I did not even a glass of water and my order finally got to my table 20 minutes after. I order a curry of Mouton. Be aware portions are very small. Mouton was tender but way too salty. At last my ice tea was a Lipton tea (which is okay) but for some reason they decided to add milk into it.
