As many of the other reviews have alluded to, this hotel is an absolute gem in the chaos that is Hanoi's Old Quarter. It's located on a small side street amongst local shops and restaurants but the hotel itself is new, really nicely furnished and impeccably maintained.
We booked a Trendy Suite as our trip to Vietnam was for our wedding anniversary and the hotel very kindly set up our room for the occasion and had a delicious cake waiting for us upon arrival. The room itself is spacious, modern and with ridiculously comfortable beds (we had two separate bookings before and after a Halong Bay trip).
Buffet breakfast every morning was great, just enough variety of food to not get bored after a couple of days of the same breakfast. The spa which is next to the hotel is amazing and highly recommended if you have the time.
The real star is most definitely the staff - nothing is too much to ask for and they do everything with a genuine smile and intention to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They knew what our plans were in terms of transfers for tours and airports etc and made every effort to make sure that it was as easy for us as possible, including packing a breakfast for us for the day we checked out as it was too early for us to have the buffet!
If it's your first time to Hanoi and especially the Old Quarter, make sure you hit them up for recommendations on where to get some good street food, all their recommendations turned out to be great.
All in all, we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and especially their staff to anyone, they are a credit to Vietnamese hospitality.
