I like nothing more than seeing what’s for sale in places like this. The streets are generally divided into specialist areas so there’s a street for kitchenware, one for lighting, one for paper etc. Generally very little hassle from the shopkeepers to so if you find yourself being pressured you’re probably better moving on.

Very enjoyable to lose yourself in the street, with the pagoda, the shops specialised by street, the bar and the street good.
A must see

Quite a nice place to walk around, shop. There are lots of shops nearby and tourists will love this place. I loved those small shops selling sandwiches, quite cheap and good.

We stayed a couple of hotels in the Old Quarter district which has everything to offer. It's busy, noisy, colourful and steeped in history. There are streets full of stalls with everything you could need and everything you don't need! Places to stay, eat, drink. Museums and places o interest. LOVED the water puppets. loved exploring the lanes and hidden gems. After the initial culture shock and sensory overload we fell in love with Old Quarter and all it has to offer :-)
