I've been going to Samui annually for the last few years and I always make a point of visiting this restaurant at least twice every time I go. I was first introduced to this place by a friend (who is a Thai local) and I don't think I would have discovered it on my own.

The setting is really lovely with a fantastic view of the gulf of Thailand. The restaurant itself is has an informal setting under waving palm trees, has a natural sandy floor with rustic furniture.

The service is friendly, welcoming and very attentive.

It's just as nice in the evenings as during the day, even without the view because it has such a relaxed vibe.

The fresh seafood is always excellent; fresh prawns, white snapper and mackerel to name a few. I've never had a bad meal here. They will also spice it to your tastes.

It's excellent value for money.

If you enjoy your seafood, definitely check it out.

We ate once at Johm Thong. The Noodle Soup with Gambas was delicious, as was the white snapper. They unfortunately did not have red snapper that day; in general it is a pity that not many visitors find their way to this restaurant. Definitely one of the best places to eat seafood at the North/west coast of Koh Samui, in a very friendly, family-like atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant towards the end of our stay in Samui and wished we had found it earlier. The restaurant is easily overlooked on the main road between Na Thon and Bang Por on the west coast of the island not far from the Four Seasons and Passage resorts and "The Lookout Samui". The restaurant is on the beachfront and has remarkable furnishings made out of driftwood. The food is excellent, mainly freshly caught seafood and Thai dishes spiced to your preference. The service is also excellent. This is well worth a visit for authentic Thai food at very reasonable prices served in a freindly aptmosphere

We ate here in January 2012 and returned a couple of times in February 2013.

Despite being on the main road, it is surprisingly peaceful. Probably because of its lovely setting. Good place to view a sunset.

The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. Mainly Thai seafood. Most of the European/American dishes have been crossed off the menu. Both the food and the service are great.

We were staying at Mae Samui resort & spa, we decided to walk for 15mjns to try one of the local places. The people were very friendly & family run business. Food was lovely and the owner spoke very good English. Well worth the walk.
