It’s ok! Very beatifull! If you can, chose the upper room, that are better!!The breakfast is continental or Thai, very good! And if you want, the hotel make a tour, trekking or good elephant experience!

Highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone travelling to Chiang Mai!

What I Loved:
- Facilities : beautifully designed and decorated guesthouse - loved the quirky and interesting things to look at, the lovely wooden furniture and the good quality bedding. The shower was roomy and nice and hot and having a fan, opening window AND aircon in the rooms was great!

- Staff : very polite, professional and helpful. Really appreciated being able to relax and not worry about someone pressuring me to go to a massage shop, buy tours or cooking classes.

- Location : very close to chinese markets and ping river and only a 10min walk from the crowded old city guesthouse area or night bazaar. Loved being able to relax at night and not have to listen to crappy music (and all the yahooing) from clubs or bars, or having to battle the tuk tuk mafia lurking at the entrance to the guesthouse.

What I Didnt Love:
Having to leave! Wish we were able to stay another 5 days....or even longer!

Thanks Rustic River for taking such great care of us, and for a really great stay

Room Tip: Room 3 is soooooo roomy! and the bed was super comfy

This is such a special guesthouse, our favourite in Chiang Mai. 5 stars ++!! Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Chiang Mai.
Firstly, the room - spacious, super clean, quiet and decorated so nicely. Nice hot shower, soft pillows, HUGE beds and (important) strong wifi! We barely heard the other guests, even though all the rooms were booked when we were there. I really appreciated having both a fan and aircon in the room - really hate sleeping with just aircon! - and the hairdryer (a good one too!) plus plenty of space to put things.
Secondly, the staff - everyone who works there that we met was kind and helpful and knew so much about Chiang Mai that they were happy to talk about, really good English speaking skills and not at all pushy to go on tours etc (like a lot of other places in Thailand can be!). Special mention to Nick and Fah! KupKunKha!
Thirdly, the location was really great - being able to walk out the front door and stroll down to the markets/ river /restaurants without being constantly hassled for tuktuk, tours, food, massages etc etc was such a relief. And yet, all that stuff is only about 5-10min walk away if you really want to be around it.
And finally, and this gets a special mention, the complimentary breakfast was awesome! Not just a plate of old banana and sweet toast, but thai-style breakfast (omelette on rice, rice soup etc) or a western breakfast every day. for free!

Room Tip: We stayed in a twin room and a double room and both were fantastic!

Clean and cozy with an excellent breakfast menu. The staff speaks good English and are very friendly and helpful. The location is walkable to most area attractions, however, some streets in Chiang Mai are very narrow so walking can be difficult.
