This hotel is in an amazing location and is a great price - what more could you want? The grounds are fine - they have a nice courtyard and a pool we never used - you can walk around the whole old city and should be outside!!

Our room was a little small - the bathroom has no door.. which is odd? And it was a bit dirty - needed some fresh paint for sure - but all in all, it was great.

Nice breakfast buffet and complimentary car to the night market. They also provide adventure services if you want.

Everyone was nice and accommodating - there was security outside so we always felt safe.

It's a great, small hotel for a few days, cheap, good location. Good for couples and solo travelers - I'd suggest a larger resort for families... I highly recommend though.

I was a part of the 23 family member group staying at this hotel in the last week of 2016. The hotel is just off the road with no garden outside. They do have a garden courtyard and a swimming pool (no diving). Rooms are spacious but little worn out interior. As expected the restaurant offers very few vegetarian choice. WiFi Internet is not stable. Though hotel is right off the road,it is peaceful inside. Very well located with plenty of interesting places within walking distance. It has no lift so it may pose some problem for older persons.

We enjoyed our week here, staying in the walled town for the first time, and this traditional style hotel is in a great spot, close to food and massage shops and a 5 minute walk to the loi kroth road, where the evening night life is. The staff were friendly and polite but it did feel that they were missing someone front of house to engage with the guests and make us feel more welcome. The wifi is frustrating and drops out (as is the case in most hotels in thailand). We would have liked to see a turn down service to light oil burners, spray for mosquitoes and offer mosi coils especially for those staying around the garden. We also hired bikes which is great to explore the wall town but they could use a service. There are limited sunbeds which you can lay on your front so it would be good to see a limit on how long you can reserve them for as towels were left on them and other customers had disapeared for ages. We did an early excursion and the hotel offered a packed breakfast to take with us instead of regularly breakfast at no extra cost which was very helpful.

We stayed for a five days during the Christmas holidays and were very pleased.

The pros:
- Although the road infront of the hotel is busy and loud, once one enters the hotel with its high wall and lovely garden, calmness takes over.
- Helpful and polite employees at tne reception, ready to answer questions, show us around the hotel and assist anyway they can.
- There is a tourist office (a table with brochures to be accurate) that organises all kind of private or group excursions for all possible budgets. We participated to three and are perfectly satisfied with all of tnem.
- Big breakfst buffet with fresh omelette and eggs prepared on tne spot for us.
-The nicely decorated rooms have big balconies/ terrace with a sitting bench and a drying rack.

The cons:
- The swimming pool is only 90cm deep according to the sign next to it. It is more of a kids pool, nice to look at though.
- The internet is very unstable and weak. We got logged out or could't log in at all at times.
- The doors to the rooms sometimes need special treetment to close, resulting into many guests just banging them shut, which was loud and unpleasant for us.

There is also a hotel restaurant, wbich is nothing much, but the food and the prices were ok. The drinks offered were also good. Pleasant, if one doesn't feel like going out.

Stayed for a week with a 5yr old and 1yr old. can not say enough good things about this hotel! spacious room, excellent breakfast buffet, great pool, ordered room service and that was great too. the staff was so kind and sweet to our kids, I am so thankful. the people of chiang mai are amazing. i will say the beds really are rock hard but you can not beat the location of this hotel! great restaurants around too! thank you to the staff of bodhi serene our family had an amazing trip because of you.

tips; our daughter needed hospital, chiang mai ram is 5 minutes away, cost $50 dollars and was in an out in 30 minutes
-loghome restaurant down street was great as well
-massages in thailand are therapeutic, expect to be a little sore but well worth the $3
-no bargaining at night markets and crowds get VERY big. go early and buy what you want right away.
-tuk tuks can be negotiated
-be polite and quiet, respect thai culture
