I stayed for two nights recently. Booked this through TripAdvisor. This hotel beat our expectations, and we four friends extended our hotel for one more day. Breakfast is not lavish, but has good number of items. Staffs were very cordial and helpful.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

Our 4th stay at this small but very good hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent as you are able to walk into the town and night markets down the passageway beside the hotel and across the iron bridge. This is a very Thai hotel, the breakfast is not extensive but very good and their Mango is excellent, choice of eggs cooked fresh to your order.
Rooms large and good, swimming pool good except no steps down into the shallow ends can prove difficult the the older person.

If you want to stay in a jungle kind of accommodation but only have a short stay in Chiang Mai and cant spare the time to commute in and out the city, this is an excellent option. The room was huge. Breakfast was nothing to brag about. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel rents its bikes for free! The location just over the river is about 30 minute walk to the old city walls, or a 15 minute tuk tuk for 100 baht (~$3). We were picked up from here to go to Elephant Nature Park which is a MUST DO in Chiang Mai.

We stayed here recently and would recommend it to anyone. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for you and the location is perfect in a quite area not to far to walk into Chaing Mai. The pool is not huge but enough to cool off after a hot days site seeing. They also have bikes that you can use to which we found was a great way to get round the town and see all the temples. Our room was plenty big enough and very comfortable.

Room Tip: I think maybe quieter away from the pool

This was our third stay and our ground floor deluxe room was large with plenty of space to relax. The finish and décor is more Thai Style without striving to achieve a higher star rating. The large pool and pool area is surrounded by the two level room complex and is a quiet place to relax. Although small the open air garden café has an adequate range of food and drinks. It is open all day and a great last minute option for lunch or dinner.

Location is superb with many cafes, restaurant, Night Market, Day market and a Supermarket close by or an easy walk away. Free airport transfers are another plus.

Service is part of their appeal as they immediately offered to purchase mediation, call a doctor or transport me to hospital when they discovered I was not well. For a day they insisted on delivering any food I ordered.

Rimping Village is a place we will always choose when in Chiang Mai.
