The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a few issues with the WiFi in the room, but it was dealt with competently and immediately.
I did not try the breakfast, so cannot comment on this.
The room was clean and spacious and quiet. The hotel has been there for a while, which is starting the show, but it was clean and the shower worked well. Also, the mattress was good.
No strong odours in either the bathroom (drain) or room (deodorizers/insect sprays).
There is no flatscreen TV.
All in all, it's a basic hotel. If you need loads of facilities, this is not for you. Good for exploring the city as it is just off the moat in the north-eastern corner.
You can rent motorbikes in the lobby. It's a bit more expensive than going out to the rental place yourself, but for convenience sake I was happy to pay the little extra: 250 baht/day.

Receptionist are friendly and helpful.

Room is big and clean and quiet; away from the bustling city, good retreat after a day of sight seeing. You can also get a dip in the small pool at the nearby Royal Peninsula Hotel (think they belong to same group?)

Its a straight road; about 15 to 20 minutes walk to the old city. Morning market & Night Bazaar is also within walking distance for those who do not mind to walk a little farer.

Food is not a problem if you're feeling hungry. There's a 7 eleven and eatery just next to the hotel.

Ask me if I will ever choose this hotel again? The answer is 'Yes'.

Close enough to the old city and bit cheaper than others. Disappointed that breakfast wasn't included so we didn't eat there but rooms have fridge if you want to store things there. Good sized rooms, first couple smelled of damp but they moved us without a problem. We stayed on 3rd floor and rooms were clean. Basic toiletries included and shower room although they didn't change our sheets, just made the bed (we were there for 4 nights)!!Can use the pool at sister hotel 5 minutes away, they need to clean the pool more often but it was fine, they had a gym there too.

This hotel is very clean and spacious with very pleasant staff.

The showers are huge and the beds are firm but comfy!

Just a 10min walk into the old city and a cheap tuk tuk round 60vaht to the other end of the city.

We used the sister hotels pool everyday it's 100m away from the Royal Panarai, will stay again on my next trip to Chiang Mai:)

This hotel is good value for money and is in a fairly good location. The staff were accommodating to our needs to store our luggage. The room was clean, however the tv didn't work. I would stay at this hotel again.
