We visited in 2014 and loved this place so of course we intended on returning in 2016.

Sadly for us Tomo was not working at the time we attended. The staff members were sweet, their English was not a good as others in Thailand (but better than my Thai!), however I heard them speaking in Mandarin with greater confidence.

Nonetheless we had a lovely cheeseboard and a bottle of wine. The price was about 1,700THB which is to be expected with the high wine tax.

The area to sit remains outdoors which is a beautiful oasis in the city. We will return but do hope Tomo is present next time as the experience felt a little less without his smiling face.

Great selection of tea and coffee, relaxing and cool atmosphere. Great place to cool down from the heat of the street.

I've been in Chiang Mai for two months and walked past this tea house in The Old City a dozen times without realizing the absolute gem that is inside.

Who would imagine this cozy little tea house would carry a world class range of teas. Not only that, but it was wonderful to experience the owner's knowledge and passion about the different teas. He was a truly exceptional host.

And what if you do pay more? It really is a 5-star experience.

Especially for tea lovers, I can't recommend it enough.

They welcome you with a wet towel to clean your hands, waiters are very polite. Small but cozy interior patio with plants...but, one cappuccino and one iced milk tea, 380 THB. I would never pay that in my country...
