Can not fault the staff, the room was huge (we upgraded to a deluxe river view) full-size washing machine, and a fridge freezer, for what we paid, you couldn't go wrong. The room was very clean, and the bed was not the most comfortable but we were there for just 3 nights and I have certainly had worse. The pool was beautiful (although salt water) and the restaurant looked over the pool. Breakfasts were very good with a choice of local, English, American, and Japanese cuisine. The only downside was that after upgrading, I pictured us sitting on the balcony overlooking the river on a night time however, the balcony had room solely for the airconditioning unit, no place to sit, and the view was out of an oval hole cut into the concrete (see attached photo) not like the images online when booking. We received credit for the vending machine which came in very handy and also received credit for Starbucks which fully paid for 2 drinks there, a nice touch from the hotel. It was our anniversary while we were there which I'd mentioned on booking but nothing was done, the next hotel went all out for us. Overall I'd say a great location to explore Bangkok without being in the center and would also suit business travelers. Getting around was easy via Tuk Tuk or taxi and a 7/11 at the end of the street. This review would have been 4 star had it not been for the balcony, and the anniversary, which I appreciate may not be an issue for some guests however it was for us and we love sitting out on a balcony of an evening!
