Although the Ibis Riverside is on the other side of the river it only takes approximately 10 minutes to walk to the Chao Phraya river where there is ferry shuttle every few minutes across to the other side and a few minute walk to BTS Saphin Thaksin Station with full access to all parts of the city.

Easy and pleasant check in.Rooms are small for Thailand but comparable to European cities.Strong WiFi,a great view of the Chao Phraya river which thrives with activity 24 hours a day.Very small bathroom and tv with plenty of international and local channels.

Breakfast was far too busy.Infact it was so busy we were unable to find a table to eat at which is totally unacceptable. The staff were pleasant and accommodating but the situation was out of their control.

Another negative which I understand is out of the hotels control was a very rude tuk tuk driver who didn’t realise my girlfriend and I spoke Thai and was very rude.

Overall for the location and price I would consider staying here again as it’s quite a bit cheaper than some of the central Bangkok hotels and with easy access to the near BTS getting about BKK isn’t a problem.

Good hotel, standard Ibis quality level. Bathroom basic and quite small. Beds comfortable. Breakfast nice with option to sit at terrace facing the river. Location can be a bit unhandy since you need to cross the river for city center. Traveling in BKK takes time due to lots of traffic. All in all quite a good hotel if you prefer quiet nights

Would have given it a 4 but the WiFi was absolutely terrible so if you need to
do any work while here just forget it. Breakfast was decent with a great view. Great area we were within walking distance of a lot of shops and could easily catch a boat to get across the river to the more busy areas.

Staying here for 4 nights. Normally the Ibis brand is basic, a little cramped and nothing to actively recommend. However, the Ibis Bangkok Riverside is spacious, has a great garden and pool area with loads of sun loungers and seating. Rooms are basic but well sized and service is efficient. The breakfast is excellent with western and Asian options. Bro g by the river makes for a fascinating location, where you can watch all the day and night river traffic. There is a shuttle to the main city railway so no problem to get around. The only complaint is the WiFi which is free but not able to cope with so many users. Drops out continuously so don’t try and do a Skype from here. Also only 3 devices per room allowed which is not good given how much tech we now carry. Food at the hotel is mid to high price but there are loads of local street food outlets within 100metres + a shopping centre if you want western.
