Travel Ball

AMAZING!! Prior to our arrival the Hotel called to see if we would mind an Upgrade, We agreed to the Upgrade (no additional cost), the room was spectacular. We were in a SUITE, the bathroom was huge, well lit and the shower was awesome. We had 2 queen beds, a sofa sleeper and a chair. The room could of easily accommodated a family of 5. The room looked over the outdoor patio. This was the best 2 nights of sleep away from home. The bed was perfect, the down comforter was clean and smelled fresh. There was a small fridge and a microwave in our room. The hotel is clean, the outside patio was a bonus with the gas fireplace, the bar was well stocked and every employee I encountered was beyond friendly. There is no cost to park at the hotel which was a Bonus, also the hotel is close to a Main street and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Quality hotel with excellent customer service

Very impressed with this hotel, as I have stayed twice, and both times had a positive experience.

Thankful for GM Tim Azeltime, who assisted me when I had some issues while trying to teach a class remotely during the pandemic, and he could not have been more helpful. Went above ad beyond, and for that I am thankful.

Easily access to the interstate, and Downtown Ames plus ISU are just minutes away.

Clean, updated, lot of amenities.

Above and Beyond

I’m a frequent traveler but rarely post reviews. I feel compelled to write one because this staff and specifically the general manager have gone above and beyond. The last time I stayed here I was using one of the machines when one of my AirPods fell out of my ear and against all odds into a small hole down into the machine. Days later they attempted to open it up and fish it out without any success. Two weeks later, upon my return, she remembered me and offered to have someone help me try to retrieve it again. Whether we succeed or not, I know we will be staying at this hotel every time we return to visit our son while he is in college. Oh, and the hotel is brand new, very clean and the rest of the staff is fantastic as well.

wonderful staff

We were in town to visit family in the area and decided to try out the brand new Courtyard. Typically we stay with Hilton brand when visiting the area, though wanted to give Marriott a try this time. Immediately when we walked in, we were impressed with the COVID related signage asking guests to wear face coverings. Lots of hand sanitizer throughout the hotel available for guests and staff to use in a pinch. The little packets in the room were amazing!
Dinner at the Bistro was delicious, Cody and Mercedes were absolutely amazing. Kuddos to them for rocking a restaurant in our current climate. They were both very energetic and customer service from both was mind blowing.
My partner loved the large fitness center available on property while I relaxed in the pool. Plenty of amenities available and sanitizing wipes in the fitness center for the machines. We look forward to coming back to the Courtyard when we visit next!

Perfect hotel for wedding blocks!

Definitely would do it all again and highly recommend this hotel.

We booked blocks of rooms at this Courtyard for our daughter's wedding in July 2020. Our wedding guests were thrilled with this hotel choice and raved about their stay here! The beautiful hip and trendy lobby and bar, enclosed patio, pool area, and fitness center are all top notch. the rooms are very impressive and clean. It was the perfect place to welcome people from out of town to Ames! No other hotel in Ames offers what this hotel offers... nice large lobby, bar area, Bistro, patio, etc. The guests loved having spaces hang out together. The General Manager, Tim, and his staff were very easy to work with, kind, and extremely accommodating. They went above and beyond in many ways. This hotel is a great addition to the city of Ames.

Our guests booked over 50 rooms and all they could say was how welcoming and accommodating the staff was at this hotel, even with special requests, and how exceptionally nice this hotel is to stay at. The hotel and staff set the tone for the entire wedding weekend and we couldn't be more grateful!
