Was going to pick up my son from Iowa state for Winter break. The night before I was supposed to leave I started to develop some flu-like symptoms. before traveling to get my son I decided to get a COVID test. It came back positive. After making the alternate pick-up arrangements I called the hotel immediatley to try to cancel. I was denied. I am a Diamond member and tried to call the Diamond desk. They tried to get it canceled and were unsuccessful. I sent an email to Hilton's corporate office. They tried to intervene and were unsuccessful. I stay at Hilton properties 50-60 nights a year and have never been treated like this. They would prefer to have a COVID patient come stay at their hotel rather than cancel an $80 reservation? How does that make you feel like a potential guest? I was responsible not to put the hotel staff or its guests in harm's way but they didn't. It's shameful and unconscionable. All for $80!!!! If they treated this situation like this what else are they doing that puts you and your family's safety at risk?

Arrived around 7 pm and was greeted by a friendly, professional service representative! Room was very clean and quiet. Beds/pillows were comfortable allowing a great night’s sleep! They are being very conscious of Covid regulations! Would highly recommend!!

As usual for Hamptons, great accomodations: clean, nicely maintained, helpful staff. The covid breakfast could be improved at this facility: other Hamptons have provided an egg biscuit or breakfast burrito to give travelers an option with protein. Also Other hamptoms have allowed one person to exercise at a time which seems reasonable.

I was going to give this location two stars but decided to give three because they were able to accommodate us at the last minute and the front desk clerk was especially friendly and efficient. However, I have to address several issues that arose during our stay, especially the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail in our room.

I included photos that speak for themselves but the bathroom was filthy. There was grime and gunk along the base of the shower plus random body hair inside of the shower. There was questionable gunk on the wall in the corner near the toilet and there seemed to be some sticky glue-like residue on the floor in front of the vanity. The carpet was sticky to the point where I was afraid to take off my shoes; it really needs a deep clean. The remote control was covered in some sort of old sticker that was unsuccessfully removed, so it was gooey and gross to the touch and certainly didn’t feel clean. The housekeeping really fell short on this room, especially at a time when cleanliness is essential to our health and safety.

Also, to top that all off, all of the amenities were unavailable...yet they still charge full price for the room. Not to mention this room was almost $200 for the night after taxes and that included my AAA discount. No hot breakfast, no pool and no gym. They supplied a “grab and go” breakfast which was nothing more than a bottle of water, a banana and a granola bar that was the health equivalent of a candy bar.

I’ve stayed at several Hampton Inns across the country and I would not return nor would I recommend this location. The value simply wasn’t there and turned out to be a disappointing stay.

I checked in on the evening of June 18. A very professional young man waited on me and provided me with all the information I’d need for my stay, including the breakfast options for he next morning. The public areas and my room were spotless - and though I always expect hotel rooms to be immaculate, I was greatly impressed with the additional attention to detail. The next morning I went to the front desk for my breakfast - I was given a choice of fruit and yogurt, along with a breakfast bar and bottle of water. A healthy, fresh breakfast to send me on my way. The young lady at the desk was equally professional and pleasant. I would not hesitate recommending or staying here again- there’s also a nice Mexican restaurant right across the street.
