Highly recommended. Great customer service, good price, 4x4 had very good tyres which you need for Belize roads, could have been a more fuel efficient engine though.

I rent cars all the time in the US so maybe my expectations were a little high. You be the judge. When we arrived, there was a long wait to get the car. We finally got a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer with 260,000 miles on it. Almost everything was broken. The passenger door panel was hanging loose, the overhead lights cracked, the plastic pulled out of the door by the handle, rear air didn't work, engine light repeatedly on and there was a noise that sounded like the transmission was going out. The car was filthy inside and out. Despite all of that, that wasn't my main concern. My main concern is that it wasn't reliable and we could be left out in the middle of nowhere without cell service. We had a flat tire on the third day. Expecting help, we called the office. They said it was our responsibility to have it repaired so we wasted the afternoon getting it repaired instead of site-seeing. Here's the rub - the representative said that even though we bought insurance, if something breaks while we have the car there is $1000 deductible. In other words, it breaks, you just bought them a new whatever. I know that the transmission is going out on that car and it is just a matter of time before the renter that has it at that time will have to buy them a new transmission at a cost of at least $1000 on top of the rental fee. I would rather have paid more and gotten a nicer, more reliable car but who would have thought they would rent a car with 260,000 miles on it and expect the renter to pay for the repairs. Go elsewhere.

I inquired about a rental that would require a different drop off location for two different days. Salim over at AQ rental made sure the process went smoothly. The service is personalized and you really feel taken care of. I highly recommend them.

Long wait. Long paperwork process. Car oil warning light lit up on 3rd day. Waited for hours for a replacement, in the form of a beat up work site pick up truck. Tried to make the best of it. Later informed by email after leaving that AQ felt an oil leak repair was the renter's responsibility to pay although they could not identify the cause. They charged my credit card without my knowledge, and subsequently emailed me asking me to authorize the amount they already charged. Upon communicating my disagreement with the unauthorized charge and their logic, I received no response, no correction of the unauthorized charge, and had to contact my bank's fraud claim department.

If you're searching for a reasonably priced and well maintained vehicle to rent in Belize, AQ Car Rental is the One....I first rented from this establishment in 2016. There were a few minor issues with the vehicle. I called the following day to advise of the problems and was not expecting the following.....the agent asked that I return the vehicle as soon as possible; was met at the entrance as I pulled in, and was given an upgrade, free of charge, with the most sincerest of apologies.
I visited Belize again this past March and rented a 4dr, 5 seater SUV for the whole month with AQ again. I did some research this time, and found that for the size of the vehicle, AQ offered the best price.
Thank you Ms. Ameena, for your prompt responses to all my emails; and thank you ladies, for the professionalism shown and the warm smiles/demeanor that put your customers at ease.
I highly recommend that you rent from AQ when visiting Belize, you will not be disappointed!
