Excellent experience from start to finish with everyone and everything at Pelican Reef. The staff found out I was traveling with my mother to celebrate for her birthday and we arrived to an upgraded room with birthday decorations and balloons everywhere. The service was exceptional. The location is unbeatable if you actually want to relax and get out of the bustling little town. Best dock, best beach on the island. Absolutely top recommendation.

We were referred to this property by friends. We had seen pictures but didn't know what to really expect. The road to the property is dirt with lots of pot holes. But when you arrive it is like something out of a movie. The property sits right on the beach. The views from our room were amazing! The views from the pool deck where we had breakfast served every morning were great. They serve breakfast & lunch at the property. The food is very good. The unit it's self was large & beautifully decorated. The best feature of the property was the staff they were there to meet any request. They were happy & seemed to love their jobs. Even the maintenance staff were friendly & helpful. I can say that Michaela, Cindy, Kia & Santos were the best part of the stay and that's saying a lot because it is an amazing place.

Room Tip: Higher floors have the best views.

We stayed here for a friends trip. I would most definitely come here again. Pelican Reef Villas is well run and has a laid back, boutique resort feel. I can see anyone but maybe the absolute pickiest of high end travelers being happy here. Love it and plan to stay again!!!

Wow! What can I say besides that? Pelican Reef Villas is a FIRST CLASS operation that you will not regret staying at for a second. Modern, clean villas, fantastic staff including Michaela and Cindy who are very knowledgeable about the island, tours, etc. Food on premises (breakfast or lunch) is great! We absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely return. I'm a pretty picky guy and I can truthfully think of nothing negative to say about Pelican Reef Villas. It is close enough to town (30 minute walk or Carlos can get you there in his van in 10 minutes - he also knows all the best restaurants) but far enough away to enjoy the quietness and the stars at night. Fantastic beach (raked daily!) and dock. Nice pool, cold Belikin (thanks Kye). What else could you need? Hasta pronto, Pelican Reef.

This was our second trip to Pelican Reef Villas. Our children had so much fun, and enjoyed the people at Pelican Reef Villas last year, they insisted on returning; it was a unanimous, no-brainer decision to visit again! That says something. This year was no different. What a treat to see all the familiar, smiling faces!

We love the location south of San Pedro. Its out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to indulge. Michaela and Candra are wonderful. Everyone is so accomodating and kind. Michaela arranged a wonderful table at the Blue Water Grille for a "Date Night". If a massage on the beach sounds great, or an afternoon fishing, the resort can set it up for you.

Getting to Ambergris takes time, but once you arrive at Pelican Reef, its just so relaxing. The Villas are well-stocked, clean and comfortable. Everyone works tirelessly to keep the grounds impeccable. The (included) breakfast in the morning is great, and the resort has kayaks and paddle-boards readily available for use. Our kids loved the pool, and it provided the "fill-in" entertainment between fishing and snorkeling.

Pelican Reef is great for groups, families, and couples.

Room Tip: I like the Garden Room because its a better value.
