My second stay at the Sun Breeze Hotel. It is located within walking distance to the airport. Close to many shops, golf cart rentals, restaurants and is right on the beach. The rooms are nice and spacious we had three to a room, they brought in an extra twin bed to add to the two full size beds in the room and there was still plenty of room. It's a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. I also felt very safe there!!! Can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights based on strong reviews and while our ground floor standard room initially underwhelmed, we better appreciated the resort as time went on. Our room, though dated, had a good amount of bathroom, counter and closet space, and two comfortable beds. The garden grounds and pool areas are lovely and very well maintained. You would never think you were in the bustling downtown San Pedro area.

The hotel entrance is just steps from the Tropic Air terminal, very handy, and yet we were never bothered by the sounds of the small planes. We did, however, hear cleaning staff outside our hotel room early in the morning; our room was not that soundproof. I took a look at the Deluxe rooms on the second floor which were more updated, private and quiet -- rooms 214 or higher -- and would definitely opt for one of them in the future. The Premier room 225 is the clearly best with more windows, privacy and ocean view. With one of those deluxe rooms, I would have rated the hotel a 5.

Also, I highly recommend the Hol Chan snorkelling tour provided through the hotel dive shop and to explore other restaurants, like Wild Mango, a few hundred feet to the north on the beach.

Room tip: Rooms 214 or higher number on the second floor are quieter, more private and much better furnished.

Just got back from a 10 day stay at the Sunbreeze.

It was just what we needed ... small, simple hotel, with good service and a great restaurant.

Located right by the airport (don't worry you won't be woken up by planes) the hotel is right about in the centre of town. Easy walking to most restaurants, shopping and town centre.

They have a nice little pool that is great to sit around.

They have a small beach but you can't swim off this side of the island at all anymore.

It was great for us as we used the onsite dive operator (Ambergris Divers) for our dive excursions.

We dove 16 times in 8 days. It was definitely a great trip.

The hotel is small and efficient, the rooms are clean and tidy. The showers were amazing.

What more could you ask for?

Room tip: There are only 2 levels. Rooms 101 - 109 are on the path between the lobby and the restaurant.

It was a great time. The hotel and everyone were very helpful. We will stay here again. It is a place that is very close to everything and was more than we had expected. The only suggestion I would have is to brew a better quality coffee. The stuff offered in the morning in the lobby tasted like airline coffee.

I️ have never met more kind or genuine people as we did at the Sunbreeze❤️. I️ have a hard time saying they were employees there as they became friends who made our 10 Days in Belize remarkable. The first photo includes “Ryan” who together with “Edwin” were so wonderful they even helped us find the family of children who made the best coconut bread ever. We purchased one day and the young men helped make sure the children were back again when we returned the following day from a day trip. Edwin (photo #2) was a daily bright spot as he helped with restaurant questions and even walked us to Caroline’s Cafe one night as I️t was already dark and he felt unsure of our sense of direction. Edwin is simply put” a terrific young kid.” We saw Ryan running on beach and he stopped and spoke to us even while not working. Another terrific person was Mel. We got to know her as she helped with room upkeep. We spoke to her daily and found ourselves talking about our kids and families. She again....... a very wonderful woman!!!!!
The hotel is across the street from small airport for convenience. Has a great pool, Blue Water Grille on site and we even had great professionalism with the dive shop🐬. This hotel is close to everything in town. I’m sure there are fancier, newer hotels but the staff makes this place at the top of my list. Great outdoor seating on a rainy day and very well maintained. Give them all a raise:)
