Nice hotel. Pricey gift shop.

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 weeks agovia mobile
Room was clean and comfortable. No microwave. I paid extra for pool view. It was noisy until late into evening. Marketplace was good for getting Starbucks and pastries. Expensive for anything else. Gift shop charged a high price for cartons of milk. Could not butly milk anywhere else in hotel.

I can't even make the review of this hotel sound as amazing as it actually was. We stayed for a week in July, we took our 5 year old granddaughter on her first vacation. Thanks to hotel manager Hunter Lopez going above and beyond, , Anahiem Mariott made the hotel part of our vacation just as magical as disney, which is a easy walk away!

We checked in with Summer, she was delightful, very informative about the hotel and the area. The hotel was spotless and gorgeous, the hotel grounds - also gorgeous with some great flowers nd trees to take pictures with.

Our room was perfect, super bright and clean. We were on the 18th floor with a balcony - being able to watch the disney fireworks every night, what a magical way to end every day!

The lady that cleaned our room each day, she probably has no idea how much our grand daughter loved guessing which way she wpuld arrange all her stuffies on her bed each day. If anyone has argued with a 5 year old that they dont need to take ALL their stuffed animals with them to disney or the beach they will understand how much this woman who made up our room each day was such a blessing, our grand daughter felt like they got the BEST care while she was out for the day, and they were all lined up and waiting for her to return on her perfectly made bed.

Everyone and everything was just so great, the pool, the pub, the breakfast restraunt, the lounge, the staff walking around was just right, couldnt have asked for friendly service, better food or more of an elevated relaxing atmosphere, even the parking garage was super clean!

I think if you want a place to call home while you navigate the busy vacation days this is the place!

We cant wait to go back - thanks so so much Anahiem Mariott and all the amazing staff.

We had a great stay as part of our family road trip. The room was great - spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location is perfect for Disney. My only complaint is that we booked a room with a balcony and the room we had had a small strip of outside space which you couldn't fit a chair on. We could only stand on it to look at all the rooms with actual balconies and people sat on their patio furniture. That was disappointing but as we only used the room as a base we coped! I don't think they should be sold as rooms with balconies!

Issac and Travis were extremely helpful with my accommodation. Super wonderful staff, and they helped me with every request. I would highly recommend the hotel with anyone looking to be within close proximity to Disneyland and the Convention Center.

This is a comfortable and well organized hotel that is usually cheaper and nicer than hotels closer to Disneyland. I’ve stayed here 3 times in the past year and love it but I had some issues on this trip.

When I arrived, I waited in a long line for mobile check-in and elite customers. The staff served everyone in my line ahead of me, and when they got to me, said I had to wait and served the people who had joined the regular line first. This was extremely frustrating because I had been there before those guests arrived. It did not escape my notice that all the guests served ahead of me were White, and I was the only Black customer in either line.

The staff were also chatty and friendly with all the people in the line ahead of me and barely said a word to me. They did not even return my “hello.” I was the only person of color in either line, and the difference in treatment was so stark, it really felt like I was being discriminated against. It started my trip off on an unwelcome note.

The room was excellent, and I had an especially great housekeeper who always made sure to come back to our room if we had the do not disturb notice on in the morning when she did her initial rounds.

The ART bus to the parks is outside of the hotels control, but it was more unpredictable than usual on this trip. The hotel is only on one bus line, so if that person goes on break or is running late, you can easily wait for 30-45 minutes longer than the scheduled time. Lyfts are only $5-6 dollars to the park so I would recommend buying a one way ART ticket instead of a pass so you have the flexibility to get a rideshare if the bus abandons you.

The hotel is a great place for a conference - with meeting rooms all on the main floor.
It's located on a cul-de-sac, off the main road, so the traffic noise is lower than it would normally be. And if you get a high floor room on the north side, you can see the fireworks at Disneyland pretty much each evening at 9:30. If you can arrange for concierge level privileges, that's also a great benefit - access to the concierge lounge on the 18th floor, with breakfast and a light evening meal. My room was spacious, comfortable, and in good shape.

Only one issue - the smoke detector is mounted immediately outside of the bathroom. If you take a shower, keep the door shut or the alarm will go off! And when you're done showering, leave the bathroom quickly and shut the door again...or the alarm will go off again. Leave the lights on in the bathroom to allow the vent to eventually clear the steam out. Give it an hour or so.
