Excellent location for touring Washington DC. Walking distance from all of the major historic locations. Friendly atmosphere, pleasant staff, first class food, very comfortble room, and all the usual amenities of a first class hotel.

Stayed here for 5 days and was very disappointed. Most of the staff was rude and the hotel was filthy!! The carpet in the rooms and hallways was dirty with food stains. Guest services were rude and just didn’t care about our experiences.

Location: excellent. Beds: super comfortable! Service: excellent. Cleanliness: excellent. Nice lighting in the bathroom for putting on makeup, etc.
I was there for meetings, and the food they served us was very very good. The meeting rooms were very cold and the lobby was freezing! I was able to control the temp in the room ok.
My only complaint other than the temperature was that my first room smelled very musty/moldy. I'm very sensitive to that. I asked for another room, and the second one was better. Nevertheless, by the second night I had a sore throat that turned into a cold. I can't say for sure it was anything in the air conditioning system or the cold meeting rooms, but I suspect they didn't help.
The only other complaint was that I was there for a conference, and they offered us a conference rate of $244/night. However, the night before the conference they wanted to charge $544/night, even though it was part of the dates they supposedly were offering the special rate. I called, and they said it was based on availability. So I ended up spending the first night at a different hotel and then moving hotels.

We travelled to D.C. to stay at the Grand Hyatt for 6 nights. We were in a room on the atrium side of the building. At the time of our stay there were some conference activities happening at the hotel.
For a few days of the stay - I was particularly ill, spending a majority of the time in bed. I was never once disturbed by noise at the hotel. The room was soundproof! This would be a great hotel for anyone who needs to sleep during the day.

The beds were comfy and the rooms were well set-up. There was plenty of space and the tv had the option to ChromeCast - a plus for anyone who might not want to watch local TV.

The hotel also offered some great services like different types of pillows, and the ability to borrow things you had forgotten for your stay.

The room had a bath tub - which was appreciated and well used (especially when ill).
It's in great proximity to many attractions and the national mall - about a 15 minute walk - we never needed to use an uber.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the little store in the lobby was well appointed.

Love this hotel is very beautiful, the staff are very welcoming and ready to help. The room is very exquisite, clean, and get room service to clean the room. The restaurant is very clean and also the public bathroom.
