You might never know it from the entrance, but this place is a neighborhood gem and well worth your time to dine here. It is small and quaint so try to get a table by the wall or the corner for privacy. The food is simply magnificent and our service staff was friendly and helpful. We were in town for a conference at a nearby large hotel, and we were seeking out good neighborhood restaurants we could reach on foot and this one was perfect! Has the feel of a historic home with parlor type dining space and fabulous French food! There are many upscale dining spots in DC but the more unassuming Petits Plats is so worth your time for the quality of food!

We love French cuisine and drop in at Petits Plats several times a year. The service is terrific and the food memorable. Highly recommend the escargot, any fish dish, and the beef bourguignon. On my recent visit, I tried the bouillabaisse (not always on the menu). It was wonderful! Always good, always a treat, staff always treat you well. Will always be back.

I've staying at the Wardman for 10 years each May and this is the first time here. Shame on me! We had a business group for dinner and it was wonderful. The food was delightful and the service was great.
Little shop with a big taste.

We came here for lunch while attending a Trade Expo at the Wardman Park hotel across the street. Interesting residential row house building, probably built in the early 1900s. Comfortable, relaxed rooms, good service, interesting menu.

We tried their Chicken Alfredo, Mussels steamed with white wine and garlic, and a Salad Nicoise - all very well prepared and nicely presented. Petits Plats is a traditional neighborhood restaurant in the classic DC style. Next time we're in DC, we'll go back to sample more of their menu. Definitely worth a try when you're in this part of DC.
