Made reservations two months ago. Got to hotel at 4:30pm. They advised room was not ready and would be at least 45 minutes more. Still sitting here waiting. So disappointing after such a long day. I understand things happen, however, I just did not expect from W. Hopefully, next go around will be better.

Was originally excited to stay at this prestigious hotel in downtown DC. I had never been and it is located so conveniently, that's why we chose it. Check-in was flawless thanks to Collin. Was pleased with our room overall. We didn't reserve anything fancy so I expected the room to be small which was fine. There was even a note from Reena with 2 drink coupons which was a lovely surprise. However, after heading out to a nice late dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill we came back to find the room very damp. The AC unit was providing cold air but not dehumidifying at all. All of our clothes were damp, the linens were damp. What a shock and horror. We tried to make the best of things as we don't like to make a fuss. But, then we couldn't sleep because we were on the 10th floor, and to our disappointment directly under the rooftop bar where noise didn't stop until 2am. We ended up staying the 2 nights we booked, we didn't complain because that's not the type of people we are. However, I truly expected better of this hotel. Extremely disappointed overall and would not stay again. Perhaps the $50M expected renovation will address these issues??

Room Tip: Do not stay on the 10th floor

Hello jeufrazio,

We appreciate you choosing us and providing valuable feedback about your stay. We want to sincerely apologize for the dampness our air conditioner caused in your room. We want every guest to feel comfortable and at home, so please rest assured that our engineering team will investigate this issue and find a resolution. It is also disappointing that the noise from our W mix bar carried into your room and disturbed you. Our welcome agents are always available to assist and please don't feel like you are complaining whenever your experience is being hampered. We are always happy to move you into a different room or ask for our other guests to quiet down. We strive to provide all of our guests a perfect and unforgettable experience, and we are sorry we did not meet this goal during your visit. We appreciate you mentioning how you enjoyed your flawless check-in with Collin and we look forward to welcoming you back the next time you are in D.C.!

I started at the W for a weekend with my brother. We had a great time and the W was the perfect spot for is to hangout. It is positioned in the heart of DC and had great service, good food and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Visited DC on business, and wanted to try the W. The location is perfect, right across from the Treasury building and a short walk from the White House. Nearby bars and restaurants abound. Rooms were ultra-modern and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. The rooftop bar with its view of DC is an absolutely gem. Glad to recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a view of the White House

@TravelNTings #TravelNTings Not often does this hotel become available for work and the SPG awards really did help to get myself into an upgraded 1 bedroom and high quality included breakfast every morning. The POV lounge on the roof is definitely a place to and be seen while listening to some current sounds and sipping good (pricey) cocktails. It was a good time and I’ll be back.
