We did a quick two hour tour and was overwhelmed about how much history was in this museum. Start out early to hit all the floors

Sooo much to see and do at this museum. You could spend the whole entire day here and not see everything. It's free, and you must go through a metal detector for admission. Definitely check it out.

The Smithsonian is a world class museum system and the Natural History Museum is the jewel of their institution. This museum as lots to see and touch for all ages. The displays are creative and engaging, encouraging a positive learning experience. There is a cafe and restaurant, as well as several gift shops inside. Make sure you check out all levels of the museum as every room and exhibition is worth seeing.

The National Museum of Natural History is a must when visiting DC. Free and fun for young kids to adults. Many exhibits which could keep you occupied for an entire day. Free to everyone with just a security check point to navigate. The kids liked a lot, but they were getting tired by the end of our visit to the museum.
