Just got back from a 5 day stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, situated in the Jewish quarter and within easy walking distance to all the historic sights, the river, shopping centre and of course the best restaurants and bars.
However the rooms are small, it was a definite squeeze for two adults and two suitcases leaving no room to put anything anywhere, just a coat hook and a few hangers. So we lived literally out of our cases, and needed to put them on the bed as there was no floor space. There is no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms which is even more frustrating as you have to order a coffee/tea from the check in desk, which turned out to be persistently cold- breakfast is basic - usual continental but with a lot of bread on offer.
On the plus side the staff could not do enough for you, extremely helpful and friendly and it was this that made our stay pleasant.
I would stay at the hotel if it was for one night only as the space and size of the rooms will get on your nerves especially if there is two of you sharing

We really enjoyed our stay at the Roombach hotel and hope to return. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet, everyone was friendly, and the breakfast buffet was great. The location is fantastic, in the middle of the Jewish Quarter, which is also where the best nightlife is, and you can walk without too much trouble to most of the places you'd want to visit in Budapest.

Stayed for four nights, hotel was comfortable, clean and staff were friendly, breakfast was adequate. Good central location- ideal for exploring the city. The room got very hot and we were unable to cool it down - when we put the air con on - hot air continued to come out, and could not have the window open at night due to noise from the street below Would of liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room , the only other thing I would say is do not use the hotels choice of company for transfers to and from airport - had problems both ways - and very nearly missed our return flight due to the lateness of the taxi.

The hotel is located in a very nice area, full of cosy bars, bistros and restaurants. The position is great, since the main attractions can be easily reached by walking - 10/15 minutes from the Chain bridge, few minutes from one of the main metro stops. The room was clean even if a little bit small.
Good breakfast with a good variety of options.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
If you decide to go to the famous baths, you can buy voucher at the reception and skip the queues (during weekend baths can be very crowded)

I visited Budapest with my wife and my parents and this hotel couldn't have suited our needs better. Centrally located and inexpensive, especially considering the standard of the rooms and the hotel in general.

The staff were extremely helpful throughout our trip, booking transport and providing advice. The breakfast was also excellent. We would definitely stay in this hotel on future visits. Budapest is a wonderful city to visit and this hotel couldn't be better suited to a city break.
