Well worth the long hike up the hills and several stair cases... the view of the city, the Danube, the bridges... absolutely fantastic! A must see on any visitors itinerary!!

I went in the evening and the turnstiles were down so I got to walk up for free! Very beautiful spot for photos and to see the city.

Located up high on the Buda side looking over the city with views of the river, bridges and the major areas on the Pest side of the river. This is a major tourest attraction with a lot of high end hotels, restaurants and shopping. There is a small fee to walk the upper wall level but well worth it. This is the place to find your hotel if you stay in Budapest. Very safe area with lots to see and do, ggod eats and drink are everywhere.

You can find many point of views to take photos. I add one scene. If you pay for sight seeing panorama tower you will find different angles to take a photo.
I think it is one of the must do things in Budapest.
There are some shops for presents and you can find a coffe bar nearby the Duna river view.

The weather in April 2018 was unusually mild so allowed for evening strolls. The architecture of the Bastion is so beautiful and the views from the top of the parliament buildings and chain bridge are stunning.
