Great city. Great people! This hotel added to our stay and made it all that much more special. Situated right next to the river also helps. Every major attraction was "walking distance". Style: modernity.

This hotel is situated on the Pest side of Budapest right next to the Chain Bridge on the Danube. It is close to shopping, restaurants, transportation, spas, and entertainment. The rooms are clean, attractive, and comfortable and the amenities are very nice. The breakfast offered is exceptional with many, many choices on the buffet. The hotel restaurant is very nice and offers a large range of wines and cocktails. I would consider this a boutique hotel. The staff is outstanding.

congrats to sofitel. We stayed with my gf for 3 nights. The place is great, near the old town (buda), near vaci street and near metro station (yellow line). Choose a room with view in duna river! if not, there is no view. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable. Stuff is very polite and very helpful! Check in and check out was immediate, there is stuff for luggage transfer and you can also secure your luggages if you have check out and you leave later on. Breakfast was great with a huge buffet but there is an everyday line queue since the hotel is huge, they should have a bigger place for breakfast. The waiting list is usually 5-10 minutes but when there are many people they offer you the possibility to send you for free an american type breakfast in your room! The restaurant is in the lobby, we would prefer if they had a roof garden with a restaurant or bar (there is an executive club in the roof but we didn't have access so i can't review it). Overall, a great hotel in Budapest with great stuff and we should book it again for sure in our next trip.

Room Tip: View in duna river

We booked this hotel for our anniversary and we were very surprised and delighted to find we had received an upgrade to a room with views over the Chain Bridge, Danube and Castle.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful which is quite refreshing.
The room was small but big enough for our needs. Huge bed, wonderfully comfortable bed and a 'pillow menu'. Best nights' sleep I've had in a long time. The only gripe was that the room had a cigarette smell despite it being a no smoking room. Otherwise we were very happy for our hotel being a great base to explore the main attraction by foot.
Breakfast was great - a huge selection. We ate in the terrace as well as al a carte in the restaurant when it was busy.
The outside bar was excellent with its huge TV - perfect for watching the Olympics!
We were lucky enough to be there on St Stephens Day so witnessed the fantastic fireworks over the Danube.
All in all a great trip

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel is placed in the hearth of Budapest, just next to the iconic Chain Bridge and in one end of famous Vacsi Utca (shopping street). The room we booked has a beautiful view over the Danube river, the Castle and the Chain Bridge. Parking is underground, it costs about 28 EUR/day, payable to the front desk. The concierge are very kind and helpful. The room is very clean, and about the bed I have to describe the best sleeping experience ever had. It has a feather mattress which gives you the sensation that you are sleeping on a cloud. Also this is the first hotel I've seen to offer a pillow menu, and the housekeeper can advice you about the pillow you like to choose. Room amenities are pretty standard for a 5 star hotel. The lights switches are a little tricky until you get used with it. In the closet they have an iron and ironing board (useful when unpacking your shirts). Breakfast is served on C level, and is buffet type. You can choose from a variety of foods, all of the best quality. Keep in mind that is better to be a little early because it will be crowded after 9.30 and the hotel will invite you to the restaurant for an a'la carte menu, but some items will be charged. This might be the single slight minus, breakfast space is not very generous. Access to the rooms is made with 3 exterior elevators facing interior space of the hotel. In order to go to your floor, you have to put your key-card on a sensor in the elevator. For sure I highly recommend it as a romantic and luxurious hotel, an experience worth to be made!

Room Tip: River view rooms are the best
