This hotel has a great location in the city. The adjoining restaurant acts as the breakfast room. Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms have mini-refridgerators. Those are the obvious pluses.

The rooms are air-conditioned but the output is weak. Beds are uncomfortable. Request a room that faces the inside courtyard as the street noise can get loud at night. And in the early morning hours as well as the kebap joint next door becomes an after-hours club for the owner and his friends.

I wish I could rate this 3-1/2 stars because it is a good compromise overall.

I was there on a business trip but the great location made it possible to enjoy a bit of sightseeing. You have the parliament just a few min. away and several restaurant.

The room is fine, good bed and clean room. Don’t expect anything fancy. The breakfast had a few topical Hungarian sausages and cheese (delicious).

The night before check-out we asked the receptionist to order a taxi for the next morning. The next morning to our surprise a private shuttle for the airport was waiting. for us. When we asked for the receipt for the shuttle, we were told that this was impossible and maybe they can send it to us by email. After 30min of calling we finally got the receipt and went to the car to find out that the car battery has died. Another 20min while the driver tried to get some help. We made it to the airport just in time (45min drive) because of this delay.

It is a bit cheaper to get a car and you can pay by credit card and get the receipt (about 75000-7900HUF).

The Hotel: Easy to find. Great location, only a few minutes away from the Parliament and other attractions. A few meters away from Tram stop and restaurants and supermarkets. No elevator. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay. Since my friend was sick and that the rooms do not have electric kettles, they lent my friend one in order to make some tea. They also lent us umbrellas and arranged for us an early taxi pickup on short notice.

The Room: Rooms (2) were a bit disappointing. It looked a bit bigger and more attractive on the pictures.There were also some holes on one wall and black stains.The internet was weak and stopped working completely for a few hours one morning. Beds were comfortable. The shower doors did not close properly, therefore there is was a lot of water spilling everywhere on the bathroom floor unless you arrange a “protection” with two towels. The AC did not seem to work at all in both our rooms. It actually made quite a lot of noise while the air stayed warm and heavy. The temperature in the hallway was also way too high which seems to just confirm that something was off with the heating and AC.

We had a good stay despite these negative aspects. Even though this is a budget hotel, it seemed to me to be too expensive for this type of room and hotel(84 EUR/night).
