The rooms, amenities and service here were very good and the hotel is furnished to a high standard. The pool, jacuzzzi and sauna are also good. Breakfast is a little disappointing with poor layout and slow coffee/tea machines. The location is a little out from the city centre but is very well serviced by buses. Overall. a nice retreat from downtown Budapest.

While in Europe why not try a new Country? Our stay with the Lions garden hotel made it an easy and affordable choice. With breakfast included and a perfect view of the beautiful historic church right next door it was great. About a 10 min drive and 30 min walk to city center location worked well. There are hop on and off buses that frequent the area that make touring this beautiful historical city a breeze. At check out we were able to leave our car garaged while we enjoyed the remainder of the afternoon sightseeing. And we even were gifted a gourmet box of chocolates at check out.
If you like meat their breakfast is a dream. I would have liked more vegetarian options. The rooms were slightly dated but still very clean and quite comfy.
I would stay again.

This hotel is clean, well run, and the rooms and facilities are all good. But it is not near anything you want to see in budapest and in fact you have to walk miles through a rough neighbourhood to get to anything. You are forced to taxi home every night because it wouldn't be safe to walk. We walked into the city centre and two healthy brisk walkers took close to an hour passing a lot of urine soaked doorways. And there are no restaurants, stores, anything in the neighbourhood. It's worth paying more to be closer to the centre. We only stayed here because it was part of an air Canada vacations package and they should be ashamed of offering it as part of a four star package. Maybe if the hotel offered a free shuttle...???

Just spent 5 nights here and had a lovely time. Room was spacious and cleaned regularly. No tea and coffee facilities, but think that's fairly usual away from UK. Mini-bar available, with room to store your own drinks overnight. Pool was a good size - a bit cold at first, but well needed after a hot day sightseeing. Breakfast was good - lots of sausages to choose from and trotters too! Varied hot and cold food to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar menu was good and reasonably priced - cocktails were strong!
Close to the park, Heroes Square and the baths - all of which are worth a visit. Only downside was it was a long way from the city centre. A 45 minute + walk into town and quite expensive in a taxi. However, we discovered ( on our last night) that the bus is a 2 minute walk away and costs 350 HUF - less than £1 - each way!

Hotel seems to be used by groups a lot - but being surrounded by the Hungarian and Macedonian men's volleyball teams wasn't really a hardship!!

Dear Mrs. Lambert,

thank you for the nice words. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. I am a bit sad that you discovered only the last night the public transportation, because that is the best solution to travel around big cities.
The only reason why we had sport groups in the hotel at that time because it was a competition very close to us, but I think we don't have so much groups in the hotel.

I hope we will welcome you back into our hotel.

Kind regards

Highly rate this hotel. Fantastic staff. So helpful. Rooms spotless. Daily cleaning service. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Huge breakfast choice. Lovely pool. Can’t rate this hotel enough. Should be five star. Made the Grand Prix weekend perfect. Thank you.
