Second stop on our 3 country tour. Here for 2 nights, not really many places to walk to to dine but enough for how long we were here. Nice clean room again no tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast included and was fine. All the staff appeared quite sullen, not many smiled.

Dear Veronica,

thank you for your comment about our hotel.
In the hotel we have a restaurant with tasty international foods and also my colleagues should have offer you several restaurants nearby if you would had been asked for that.
Probably you didn't have so much contact with my staff otherwise you wouldn't have such an impression.
Hope to see you next time for a longer.
Best regards

Had a short visit in April on a business trip
This quite modern hotel is situated in not too far from the Budapest center. consequently a taxi is necessary to get to the centre. It is well furnished and clean. There are several restaurants nearby including a Chinese and Italian (pizza). the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a good hotel.

Hotel and rooms were ok but there are no restraurants within easy reach. Its a loads of takaway and student environment. Fine if that is what you want. Around 30 mins walk into the town or about 30 minutes on the bus due to excessive traffic. The dining room had ONE coffee/tea machine for around 100 guests who were anxious to eat and get out on thier business. queque at least 10 mins!!!There was one hard to find eatery called the Hussar which offred good basic hungarian food at a reasonable price. overall recommendation move nearer the town. Has a pool and jaccuzzi but unsudfficient coffee machines..go figure

Room Tip: get another hotel!! otherwise you will be facing a church with a bell tower

We asked for a room with a walk in shower instead of a bath with shower so were given a lovely room on the top floor. It wasn't particularly large but quite adequate for us and had a nice balcony with views of a beautiful church. The room had pleasant air conditioning, a free safe, a fridge and good wifi. The shower itself was very small and one downside was the control pulled out to set the water flow and, if you caught it while turning round, it switched off the shower which then came back on as cold again even though the temperature was not altered, so be warned. No tea and coffee facilities are provided so we took a travel kettle with cups and teabags as we'd read that advice on other reviews. There is a Prima supermarket about 100 metres away and we bought some milk there and stored it in the room fridge. We also bought water, souvenirs and other items from Prima as the prices were comparable with the UK. We didn't use the pool, but other members of our family did and they said the pool was quite cold but the Jacuzzi was lovely. The breakfast was adequate and plentiful but I would have liked some prepared fresh fruit. There was a nice outside area with tables and chairs and very necessary sunshades where you could have a drink and try to cool off. The drinks prices were reasonable and served by very pleasant staff. I would have liked the opportunity to buy some bar snacks as we were there on a Bank Holiday and the supermarket was closed but the kind lady behind the bar gave me some complimentary peanuts. We didn't eat in the restaurant, apart from breakfast. Budapest has an amazing transport system and you can buy tickets very cheaply on the bus, tram or metro. The official yellow taxi's are also very plentiful, very cheap and are metered. You also have the opportunity to pay by card at the same cost and will get a receipt. We ordered quite a few taxis via hotel reception and they always arrived on time. I wouldn't advise ordering a car via the hotel to pick you up at the airport though. We had a private car pick us up and were then asked for an extra 4 euros on top of the 30 euros we were advised it would cost as the driver had to pay to park. On top of that we had to walk all the way down to the car park to get to the car. Other members of our family just got in a taxi outside the airport and paid a lot less. Euros seem to be widely accepted, especially in the tourist areas, but not GBP. It's worth exchanging some GBP for HUF while you are there though as the rates are a lot better. We got 333 HUF per £1 in the UK and about 345 HUF at an exchange desk just outside the local supermarket. These exchange desks are all over Budapest apparently.

This relatively modern hotel is situated in the outskirts of Budapest. consequently public transport or a taxi is necessary to get to the city centre. It is nicely furnished and decorated throughout and kept very clean The bedroom my wife and I stayed in was spacious, nicely decorated and furnished with adequate facilities and free Wi-fi. The bathroom was large with separate shower cubicle and bath and kept clean during our stay. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom but this is not unusual for hotels in Europe. The twin beds were very comfortable. There is a spacious restaurant providing a good choice of both hot and cold foods and drinks at the buffet breakfast. The hotel does provide a choice of evening meals which we were told by several people were well cooked and tasty. Booking is necessary. There are a few restaurants nearby including a chinese and a pizzeria All the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. Overall a very good hotel.
