Once a brilliant hotel turning terrible!

The superior room was renovated in past 20 years. It is excellent, you just have to figure out the magic of the room.
In the toilet push of the left button meant flush, wait for 15 seconds and push right button to stop water flow.
The minibar was well nicely filled. Only problem was that everything was room temperature.
The carpet was nice, it should only be vacuum cleaned.

The dinner would be nice if the food would be fresh.
The wine list was nice, unfortunately most wines was unavailable and only one bottled dry white vine with classical cork was available.
The price for 1 GLASS of TAP WATER was 2 EUR (after spending 30 EUR for vine).

Last but not least was breakfast.
At breakfast there was NO FRESH BREAD (available bread was at least 1 day old) !!!!!

Recommendation: avoid this hostel!

Clearly, this hotel has seen better days in terms of fresh decor as well as furnishings. I would guess the rooms have never been renovated. That said, the hotel staff was friendly and the location is nice - a 10min drive from the city center. Unfortunately, the in-wall HVAC system in the room is inadequate for any sort of warm external temperature. The rooms are huge though!

This hotel used to be really special, now it is a little out of date with sadly the same prices. The bed was making a lot of noise, and the furnishings overall are out of date the rooms was big,... Bathroom is nice and big but every faucet was missing a top. Very clean and the staff is very helpful.

We enjoyed a one-night couples getaway at the Habakuk including the sumptuous breakfast buffet and spa facilities (every kind of sauna and steam room, and beautiful pools, indoor and outdoor. We'll return soon and bring the kids next time, they'll love it too.

Room tip: beautiful views from rooms facing West toward the vineyard-covered hills beside the Drava River

The hotel is set a little way out of the centre of town, about a 15 minute taxi ride away. The rooms seem very well soundproofed as I didn't hear a single noise from outside the room in a 6 night stay. The rooms are fine - not particularly modern looking, but not dirty or shabby; they have hair dryers, televisions, a mini bar and we managed to get a kettle when we asked at reception.
Breakfast and dinner were included in the room price, served buffet style. As a vegan there wasn't a great selection for me (though they did have rice and soya milk available at breakfast) as it was very meat and cheese heavy, but there seemed like a reasonable selection for everyone else.
