Owner description: Triglav National Park is one of the most im¬portant natural treasures of Slovenia. It is named after the sym¬bolic mountain Triglav (2,864 m) and is one of the oldest parks in Europe. The first protec¬tion attempts date back to the year 1906. Thepark covers nearly 84,000 hectares, almost the entire territory of the eastern Julian Alps. The Triglav National Park (TNP) is the only Slovenian national park. The management of the Triglav National Park is the responsability of the Triglav national Park Public Institution, based in Bled. The national park is a model example of successful harmonisation of different interests focused on a common goal: well-preserved nature, landscape and cultural heritage. The values of a national park are a motive and an attractive goal for visitors who respect the exceptional nature and cultural heritage as well as the peace and quiet of the area.

Worth it to make the drive a little past Lake Bled to find this hidden gem! Plenty of room to explore the vast nature trails and creeks and streams and the mini lake hidden within. The drive into the national park is scenic as well. Lovely find and highly recommended! Great example of everything great about Slovenia

It was raining lightly but this didn’t stop our visit. Slight protection from the forest trees and the walking trails take you through some amazing pastry of the park. Just beautiful. Good facilities too.

The park contains MANY various sites. You either need a car and careful planning OR you should invest a full day in one of the Adventure companies. (3glev was our choice and well worthwhile).

We just barely scratched the surface, but what we did see was spectacular. We didn't have time for a proper hike so we decided to just do a scenic drive and it didn't disappoint! We headed into Triglav NP from Bled and went as deep into the park as Trenta Valley. There was a huge meadow opening that was warm, sunny and full of flowers. We got some ice creams from the gift shop and laid out basking in the warmth. I'd happily go back, there was so much more to explore, but at least now I can say that I have been to the Julian Alps!

A large area to visit. Don't miss Tolmin gorge, VRŠIČ pass and all the area is amazing. Just drive and enjoy!
