I think our stay here was bad timing. When we arrived the desk clerk was busy helping everybody, but us. We were finally kindly shown to our room. The room was clean, but pretty small. We had a room that unfortunately was right above the outside dining table and was the closest room to the busy, noisy street. One of the window shades was broken, which prevented us from blocking the very bright sign light aimed dorectly towards our window. There was some sort of party downstairs that had people talking very loudly into the wee hours of the morning.

We had been told twice by the desk clerk to be down for breakfast at 8:00. We got ourselves up, showered and packed and down for breakfast at 8:15, only to be told breakfast didn't start until 9:00. Thankfully, the gentleman was kind enough to set everything up for us anyway. There were definite issues with the lack of English speaking staff.
Overall, I don't think any of our issues were serious, and certainly not intentional. Just a series of misfortunes. However, in all honesty, if you are in Oświęcim to visit Auschwitz, I would recommend staying at one of the hotels closer to the Aushwitz Museum or downtown Oświęcim.

Check-in already was a strange experience. The lady has probably never heard about "service", like offering a hand (we had a bag and we bought bottles at her bar and struggled carrying it to our room.) Then she showed us to our room and ran there we could barely figure out where she went.
The blast was the guy the next morning. My friend asked for breakfast and the guy ran to the kitchen. Took him a while so my friend took a seat at a place which was already set for breakfast.
The guy came back and shouted at him in Polish and treated him like nobody should ever be treated ever. My friend wanted to pay money and the guy took it and put it back in his shirt and continued shouting. We were totally shocked and leaved the hotel.

Dear Madame,
Our staff is always trying to be as helpful as they can, sometimes it`s not so clear that guests need help. If someone asks, help will always be given at our hotel. If we speak about the breakfast incident as far as I know you were not present during that incident, that is why I need to explain few things. "The guy next morning" was second co-owner, who always prepare breakfasst for guests, trying to satisfy their tastes. Becasue we are rather small hotel, we always know in advance how many breakfast will be needed (on that day only 2) and always provide sufficient amount of fresh bread, rolls, cheese, ham, etc. so as not to waste food. Your friend didn`t order breakfast so when in the morning would like to have one, was kindly ask to wait 10 minute(in english not polish), during which boss tried to arrange another one for him. In the meantime, your friend sat and ate one of which was prepared for guests who could come any minute. Boss has rather strong voice(which sometimes can be taken as shout), that`s why when he came back and saw what happend told your friend that he can`t do such things. At that point your friend did want to pay, but throwing money like a pice of trash at someone is also not very polite? Boss put the money back in his shirt because not everything is all about the money. We respect our guests but it is two way street. We regret that this situation happend but also hope this respond makes this situation clearer.

We had dinner at Zajazd Skorpion this May, while visiting Auschwitz. It's conveniently situated outside town on the way to Krakow.

The food was excellent and decently priced, but the waiting time was very long. The waitress was very polite and kind, but served the main courses a couple of minutes apart, so we couldn't start eating together. Made a couple of more rookie waiting mistakes.

All-in-all having looked at a couple of other restaurants in and near Oswiecim/Auschwitz, Zajazd Skorpion is a very good choice.

Clean hotel at a busy road during day times. Night less busy so had a good night sleep.
The room was very clean wonderful hot shower with a good deal of water coming out.
Beds are hard. As I like it.
Restaurant is nice really good food. It's Chinese and the taste was awesome. You can also order steak and schnitzel if you want to.
Staff polite and very friendly.
Pay with cash or Mastercard and visa.

It's 2 km from train station. One long road and 4 km to auswitsch.

Nice stay highly recommended.

We spent two nights here. The room was a bit small, but it was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. The personnel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and served exactly on time. The location, right on the outskirts of town, was easy to get to. We'd go back. The wi-if was very good.
