Lots to see and explore. Walking is the best way to see Prague if you have the energy as you stumble across far more than you see from public transport!

There’s lots to see and the area is interesting in its own right. Visit and enjoy. There are some benches to sit on after the long walk up the stairs to get there.

Wear comfortable shoes! The narrow, twisting streets of the Castle Quarter are a bit of a challenge to navigate, but if you’re armed with a good map and are ready for a bit of exertion, it is a very fun place to explore! There are plenty of little places to pause for a bottle of water or a bite to eat. The area caters to tourists. There are plenty of landmarks to see, gardens to wander through, and little streets full of charming houses in which to lose oneself. It can easily fill up a whole day, depending on how you decide to spend your time, or you could pick and choose which sites to focus on and spend much less time meandering. Either way, it’s charming and fun!

A collection of palaces, churches, beautiful buildings and gardens, this castle can be seen from anywhere in Prague sitting on top of the hill. It is where the Czech president works so it is still a high security area. You can take the hike to the top of the hill or take the 22/23 trams up there. Definitely worth a visit, you can easily spend all day up there. I suggest taking a tour of it, personally I arranged a Sandeman's tour of the castle prior to going and it was great. There is a lot of history up there and was used as locations for many movies. Enjoy the beautiful views up top of one of the few cities that was under Nazi rule that didn't get destroyed in the war

I would suggest going early and hoping to beat the crowds especially in high season. Prague is so popular now that many of the sights get very crowded much to the chagrin of the real residents. Out of season is always great!
